Powell Family Memorial Back at Citrus County Speedway

(Plymouth, Indiana) After a week-long concentrated effort to help condition the dirt surface at Plymouth Speedway, five classes of drivers found much racier conditions which provided for an exciting night of racing at the fastest dirt track in Northern Indiana, which wrapped up just after 10 p.m. ET.
The Thunder Stock 20-lap feature was caution-free and only two cars were on the lead lap by the time the first place car crossed the start/finish line. The winner, Bryce Shidler, who was scheduled to graduate from school on Sunday, ran the high groove and found speed to get the top spot. (more…)

Jefferson, GA (April 25, 2013) – The Southern Super Series will be at Gresham Motorsports Park this Saturday! The first Southern Super Series race, at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, was a huge success and Bubba Pollard made history by winning the first Southern Super Series Race event. GMP’s First Southern Super Series Race of the season will be the Racing Radios 125 presented by Schoenfeld Headers on April 27th and there will be much going on for the entire family!
As of today, GMP will run everything on Saturday as it is scheduled. If there were to be bad weather, GMP will do everything possible to get all of the race events in and that may include rearranging the order in which the divisions run. GMP will keep fans, drivers and teams informed about the weather through updates on RaceGMP.com, Facebook and Twitter.

Columbus, Mississippi (04/14/13) – Magnolia Motor Speedway is back in action this Saturday, April 20th, 2013. The black ice of the Mag will be featuring the second Weekly Racing Series point race of the 2013 season with TheRockAuto.Com Super Late Models, NeSmith Late Models, NeSmith Street Stock and Mini Stocks in action.
On Saturday, April 20th the pit gate opens at 3pm with the grandstand gates opening at 4:30 pm. The driver’s meeting is at 6:15pm sharp with racing action at 7pm. Grandstand admission is $10.00 for Adults and Kids 10 and under are free. Pit admission for adults is $25.00. (more…)
Mooresville, NC 4/15/13- Clay Rogers kicked off the 2013 CARS X-1R Pro Cup Series in style winning his thirty-first career race. Now as the series heads into this weekend’s Catawba Valley 250 at the Hickory Motor Speedway, he will have his hands full to make it back-to-back wins as several familiar faces plan to do battle for the time this season. Defending race winner Tyler Young, Joey Jones, and Richard Gould all make their return to series action. Young has produced the best results of the three averaging a third place finish in the two Hickory starts during the 2012 season. In addition to the trio above; Coleman Pressley, son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Robert Pressley, will make his series debut behind the wheel of his family owned #59 machine.
For all drivers entered the biggest challenge will be tire conservation around the .363 mile oval known for its rough abrasive asphalt. Teams will have 250 laps to figure it out, with a competition caution on lap 125, allowing teams to change tires and fuel before going back green. From there fans in attendance will quickly notice action on the track heat up as the final laps approach.

On Friday, April 26th, GMP will hold an open track rental for Super Late Models only. Multiple teams will be allowed to rent the track and the more that show up, the bigger the discount! Track rental will be by the hour (two hour minimum) with rates based on a per hour, per car basis: one car -$150 per hour; two cars -$75 per hour per car; three to five cars- $60 per hour per car; 6 or more cars -$50 per car per hour. Columbus, Mississippi (03/11/13) – Magnolia Motor Speedway is racing this Sunday, March 17th, 2013 at 3PM. Magnolia Motor Speedway will kick off this Sunday afternoon featuring Mississippi State Challenge Series Super Late Models battling for $2,000 to Win PLUS the NeSmith Late Models, the Street Stocks, and the Mini Stocks in action.
On Sunday, March 17th the pit gate opens at 12pm with the grandstand gates opening at 1:30pm. The driver’s meeting is at 2pm sharp with Hot Laps at 2:30pm. Grandstand Admission is $15.00 for adults and Kids 10 and under are Free. Pit admission is $30.00. Free trackside parking is available in any unreserved spot.
Open practice will be held Saturday, March 16th from 7pm-10pm.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Thursday, March 6, 2013) – Skagit Speedway is gearing up for their 2013 racing season. Once again, they will be racing under the ASA Member Track banner.
Skagit’s 59th season will open on Saturday, April 20 with a full racing program featuring the 410 Sprints, 360 Sprints, Sportsman Sprints and Outlaw Hornets.
Every year, Steve Beitler, Skagit Speedway Promoter, and his staff try to make an improvement to the facility. This season, their focus is more on the fan experience. They are creating a unique fan zone in the infield where fans can upgrade to a pit pass and enjoy the racing action from the infield as well as get an inside look at the teams working in the pits.
Along with their weekly Saturday night program, they will be hosting some well-known events this season.
On Saturday, May 11, Skagit Speedway will host the first ever Summer Thunder Series featuring the 360 Sprint cars. Top drivers from the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada will compete in a four round series. (more…)
