Night of a Thousands included the UMP Open-Wheel Modifieds, Barrett’s Race Cars Hobby Stocks, Amsoil V-8 Thunderstocks, Gladiators, and the Florida Mini Sprints Association. All 5 divisions put on a show with 4 taking their first win in the Bubba Clem Era.

A 20 lap feature for the Barrett’s Race Cars Hobby Stocks started with Trevor Gamble pulling away from the pack. His lead, however, was erased on lap 7 for Robert Sirmons and Jeff Sargent’s spin. Gamble led with Tim Powers and Bubba Christian in hot pursuit. (more…)

Points VS. Wins

Halloween is a favorite night of the drivers and the fans and they were treated to an exciting night of action. The RaceCar Engineering Late Models and Barrett’s Race Cars Hobby Stocks returned while the Amsoil V-8 Thunderstocks, Mini Stocks, and Gladiators inched closer to their respective finales.

Young Devin Walker started on pole but quickly fell through the field and spun in turn 1 with Scott Haas and Donald Woosley after 1 completed lap. It was later found out that Walker had a broken axle. (more…)

Trick Or Treat

With just 4 weeks left before the Bubba Is Thankful Week-End the points battles are getting tight and no one will let a point slip away now. The RaceCar Engineering Late Models return as do the Barrett’s Race Cars Hobby Stocks. The rescheduled Double Points event for the Amsoil V-8 Thunderstocks, Mini Stock action, and Gladiator battles will also occur. Of course, with Halloween on Monday the kids get to trick-or-treat on the frontstretch as they do annually! (more…)

More Than 1 Way To Win

Steven A. Bagen & Associates and Integra Shocks were the proud sponsors of the action this week-end which included the Top Gun Sprint Cars, UMP Open-Wheel Modifieds, Amsoil V-8 Thunderstocks, Mini Stocks, and Gladiators. Integra Shocks would reward a lucky Modified driver a pair of shocks if the race went 25 laps and the Top Gun Sprints had a chance at $3000 worth of Integra shocks if they would give up their front row starting spot and win it from the back. Frustration, Tragedy, And Cheers

October 15, 2011- The Top Gun Sprints made their 4th trip to the 3/8 mile and they left the wings in the trailer. The National Late Model Series Southern Tour brought a show to Bubba Raceway Park and the Barrett’s Race Cars Hobby Stocks and Gladiators also put their vehicles on the clay. Top Gun Sprints Go Topless at BRP

The Top Gun Sprint Series will be going topless at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL. this Saturday October 15th.  With the first of two non-wing events to be held at BRP, with the next show on October 22th.

October 15th will be the first time the Top Gun Sprints have raced without the wings; many of the young drivers have never driven with out the wings. (more…)

Doubling Up

The UMP Open-Wheel Modifieds headlined the night with $1500 to win and Double Points on the line. Also, the Sportsman, Gladiators, and Florida Mini Sprints Association took to the clay in search of points and glory.

The Sportsman opened the night and on the opening lap “Big Puddin” Billy Costello found his 00 off course and around. As the caution came out Davey Kinsey, Sonny Thompson, and Forrest Gough made contact in turn 1 which ended Kinsey’s night. Sonny Thompson took the early lead but on lap 3 JO Nobles drove the 18 around Thompson’s 75 and soon after Austin Clark spun in turn 2. A lap later Ricky Land brought the caution out when his 66 stopped on the frontstretch. (more…)

More To Love With Double Points
