SEASON AWAITS NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS COMPETITORS AT BUBBA RACEWAY PARK

jmacbronsonBRP013113 (640x427) (2) CARTERSVILLE, GA – A new season awaits NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series competitors as the 2014 season for the Touring Division opens with five races in five straight nights in the Bubba’s Army Winternationals at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on January 28 through February 1.

The first four races will be $2,000-to-win 40-lap events on January 28, 29, 30 and 31, and the finale on February 1 will be a 50-lap event paying $3,000-to-win. Drivers will earn NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division points from their best totals in three of the five races.

The dawn of a new season raises a plethora of new and unanswered questions that may take the entire season to be revealed. Who will emerge as the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series title contenders? Who will be the new faces running for the coveted NeSmith Cup in 2014?

The Bubba’s Army Winternationals races will set the stage in the battle for the 2014 $20,000 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Championship. A total of 72 drivers competed in the Bubba’s Army Winternationals for the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS last year, and two drivers were able to carry their momentum earned in the five events throughout the 2013 season. Anticipation Building for the Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing

WAYCROSS, GA (January 16, 2014) – The anticipation and excitement is building as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series kicks off the 2014 season with the Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA. The stars and cars of the LOLMDS are set to invade the 4/10 mile South Georgia speed-plant for three action packed nights of racing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 6^th, 7^th and 8^th. There will also be an open practice night on Wednesday February 5^thfor all divisions.

The only previous visit by the LOLMDS was back in 2008, when the fans witnessed one of the most exciting races ever at Golden Isles Speedway. In that race, four drivers battled for the lead during the

50-Lap feature event, including Scott Bloomquist, Steve Casebolt, Jason Fitzgerald and Earl Pearson Jr. Pearson, who started 7^th, would make a last lap pass in dramatic fashion, passing Bloomquist and taking the checkered flag in front of the Lucas Oil TV cameras. The 2008 event is still considered one of the best TV races of all time on the LOLMDS. Lucas Oil Production Studios and TV cameras will be on hand again in 2014 to tape both Friday night and Saturday night’s events for broadcast on the MAVTV American Real Network.

The 2014 edition of the “Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing” is shaping up to be the best ever speed weeks event at GIS. Frankie Lloyd has made several upgrades and improvements throughout the facility since the announcement that the LOLMDS will return this year. GIS has also set the ticket prices for this year’s event at $25 each night for all general admission tickets, with no reserved seating. Golden Isles Speedway accepts credit cards and is taking reservations for Trackside Parking and RV Camping spots. Concrete slabs are available for racers to reserve in the pit areas, with additional secured parking added on the property for spectators attending this year’s event. (more…)

Bubba Army Dirt Late Model Winter Nationals Begins Celebration Of National Tour’s 10^th Anniversary Season Under World Racing Group Banner

For starters, a season-long celebration of the 10^th anniversary of the national tour’s rebirth in 2004 will begin with the weekend tripleheader at the unique egg-shaped, three-eighths-mile oval. In addition, the opening night of the meet – a 40-lap, $8,000-to-win event on Fri., Feb. 14 – is set to be the 400th WoO LMS A-Main contested since the circuit resumed action 10 years ago under the World Racing Group banner.

Landmarks aside, the tour’s visit to BRP will also kick off the chase for the prestigious WoO LMS championship. A typically star-studded roster of drivers is eyeing the $100,000 title in 2014, including:

* Josh Richards. The three-time and defending WoO LMS champion from Shinnston, W.Va., is geared up to pursue another points crown with his father Mark’s Rocket Chassis house car team after making his triumphant return in 2013 following a season spent pursuing his NASCAR aspirations. There will be a couple new looks to Richards’s effort in ’14: veteran wrench-turner Randall Edwards has come on board to serve as his chief mechanic (’13 WoO LMS Crew Chief of the Year Matt Barnes won’t travel as extensively with Richards this season) – and sometime during the season, Richards, who turns 26 on March 22, plans to become a married man by tying the knot with Andrea Cleveland. It’s the Third Annual Bubba Army Winter Nationals featuring 14 nights of the best dirt racers in the world from The World of Outlaws, UNOH All Star Winged 410 Sprints, UMP Dirt Open Wheel Modifieds, USAC Amsoil National Sprint Cars and the Nesmith Crates Dirt Late Model Series.

Come see Tony Stewart live as he roots on his World of Outlaw Sprint car drivers including Tony Stewart Racings 5 time champion Donny Schatz and of course the 20 time champion Steve “The King” Kinser at his first stop on his farewell tour. Zaxby’s Becomes Title Sponsor of SpeedFest 2014

Salem, IN (January 14, 2014) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials have announced that Zaxby’s restaurant chain has agreed to be the title sponsor of SpeedFest 2014, which will be held on Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th at Watermelon Capital Speedway located in Cordele, Georgia.

UNOH All Stars to Kick Off 2014 Tour in The Sunshine State

CAMARGO, IL. (Tuesday, January 7, 2014) – The University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions will warm up the frigid winter with hot racing action in the south to kick off the 2014 season. There will be five events scheduled for Florida in February with a minor adjustment to the original schedule – a third race has been added at Bubba Raceway Park and is being substituted for the originally scheduled Screven Motor Speedway event.

It all kicks off with three straight nights of racing at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. The Thursday, Feb. 6 event will pay $3,000 to the winner while Friday, Feb. 7 will pay $4,000 and the finale on Saturday, Feb. 8 paying $7,000 to win. The southern events – all part of the UNOH All Stars’ Eastern Region points – will wrap up at Volusia Speedway Park on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 12 and 13, each paying $5,000 to win.

“The scheduling move makes it more convenient for the fans and race teams. We are excited to kick off our season at two of Florida’s premiere dirt tracks,” said Guy Webb, President of the UNOH All Stars.

Last year, of the 5 events scheduled, only the two events at Bubba Raceway Park were contested as rain claimed the other three races. Donny Schatz swept both events at the Ocala speedplant. (more…)

Georgia Boot Now Titles Super Bowl Of Racing

WAYCROSS, GA (January 7, 2014) – Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are excited to announce that Georgia Boot has signed on as the title sponsor of the 2014 season opening weekend at Golden Isles Speedway on February 6th, 7th and 8th in Brunswick, GA. The Georgia Boot “Super Bowl of Racing”, sanctioned by the LOLMDS, will consist of three full nights of racing at GIS and an open practice night on Wednesday, Feburary 5th. Both Fridaynight and Saturday night’s events will be the first “points” events of the 2014 season for the LOLMDS. Friday and Saturday’s events will also be filmed by the Lucas Oil Production Studios for broadcast on the MAVTV Network in 2014.

The Georgia Boot “Super Bowl of Racing” will also include a fan appreciation contest for fans that attend the kick off weekend in Georgia. Fans will be able to register at the Georgia Boot display booth at the track – for a chance to win cash and gift packages from Georgia Boot and Lucas Oil. On Saturday, Feb 8th twenty-four (24) names will be drawn from the entry box at the Georgia Boot booth, matching a fan with each driver that starts the feature event on Saturday night. The fan matched with the winning driver of the feature event will win a cool $515 in cash, a pair of Georgia Boots and a gift package from Lucas Oil.
