What looked to be just a passing shower turned out to be a torrential downpour for several minutes forcing track officials to cancel all racing activity Friday night at Orlando SpeedWorld.
The storm dropped enough water to partly flood the infield and part of the pit area, and, with more rain expected in advance of a cold front, it was decided to call it a night just after 7:30pm.
SpeedWorld will try again next Friday night with the Super Late Models, E-Modifieds, Mini Stocks, Super Stocks, Pro Trucks, Strictly Stocks and Bandoleros set for action beginning at 8 pm.
Orlando SpeedWorld returns to action this Friday night with six classes being featured during the third week of racing under the NASCAR Whelan All American Series banner.

Alan Bruns topped the Pro Late Model field two weeks ago despite a balky shifter that gave him fits midway through the race while the Modifieds ran their first feature last week with local veteran Shane Held dominating the action and he hopes to make it two in a row this week.
