Championship Races Take Wild Turns At Bubba Raceway Park

BRP LogoJim Rouse, BRP Media Ocala, FL- The Hobby Stocks, E-Mods, and Rent-N-Roll Gladiators all returned to Bubba Raceway Park while the Limited Late Models ran a special $600-to-win feature and the 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks ran a $500-to-win race.
The Hobby Stocks put on an impressive show and by lap 4 it was Heath Walker up front in the Suwanee Salvage #55. On lap ten he was overtaken by Mike Stalnaker in his brand new #8. Just two laps later, Alvin Adkison brought out the first caution when he spun in turn 4. Stalnaker lost the lead on lap 14 as Brian Morgan was too much to handle in his #9. Morgan held on through two late cautions to win the race. Stalnaker finished bridesmaid once more with Devin Walker taking third and the points lead. Heath Walker and Sean Monoghan rounded out the top five.
Shane Nichols led the opening ten-lap stint before a competition caution came out, and a message as well- Bubba made it clear to Nichols: “If you drop to the tail and come back to win, I’ll give you $200.” (more…)

SPRINT CARS AND TQ MIDGETS HEAD HUGE SATURDAY SHOW SATURDAY NIGHT AT ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD

OrlandoSpeedworldLogo

Orlando SpeedWorld holds racing on Saturday night this week for the first time
in 2013 and race fans will get to witness a number of different types of cars
in action.
For the first time in about four years, the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association
(TBARA) Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars will be turning laps around the high-banked
3/8 mile SpeedWorld track and open-wheel race fans will also get to see the
Florida Midget Auto Racing Association (FMARA) Three Quarter Midgets as well,
a class that has not turned a wheel here in over ten years. Also on the card
are the Legend Cars, Mini Cup racers, Bandoleros and big extra-distance, extra
cash races for both the Super Stocks and Strictly Stocks. To provide icing on
the racing cake, the night will end with a demolition derby.
The TBARA Sprints are expecting a good field of between 22 and 26 cars but all
of the drivers feel they have just one guy to try and beat… Dave Steele of
Tampa and his “Silver Bullet” No, 33 car. Steele won the season-opening TBARA
show at Full Throttle Speedway near Bradenton and has been dominating Sprint
Car activity at Showtime Speedway in Pinellas Park. (more…)

Action Begins To Heat Up At Bubba Raceway Park

20130528-200748.jpgJim Rouse – Ocala, FL- A June 1st race is always nice, and we’ll run our Bubba Army 360 Sprints, Bubba Army Hobby Stocks, E-Mods, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators. We also have a Fan Lawnmower Race scheduled.

The Bubba Army Sprints have a wild top five in points as both of the points-paying feature winners- Matt Kurtz and Danny Martin, Jr.- have missed a race. That has allowed Robbie Smith to put his Cosmo’s Cafe #6S at the top. (more…)

Michael “The Kid” Atwell Takes the win at Full Throttle Speedway

20130528-195356.jpgIt was a night that the young guns would shine, at the ASA sanctioned, Full Throttle Speedway. Proud Papas would smile a little bigger, and walk a little taller, after the checkered flag dropped this past Saturday night.

The first class of the night would be the Florida Dwarf cars. It looked as if the #17 John Bailey, would be the driver to beat, but during the warm up lap the left front suspension collapsed on his car that ended his night early. The #25 Darren Bass, of Clarcona, took the win. The #56 Larry Hubbaard Jr., was second and the #08 Rob “The Cowboy” Kohler, finished third.

Memorable Action On Memorial Day Week-End At Bubba Raceway Park

20130526-133138.jpgJim Rouse, Ocala, FL- The Bubba Army 360 Sprints headlined the night with the Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Open-Wheel Modifieds, Hobby Stocks- who raced for $750, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators taking part as well.
The Scorpion Modifieds kicked the action off and Rich Pratt took the Woodstown Ice and Coal #78 right to the front. Pratt, a heat race winner, ran a dominant race and won easily over the other heat winner Bryan Bernhardt and Chuck Gustafson, Jr. In fact, Pratt nearly lapped Gustafson and beat Bernhardt by over 13 seconds. Pratt now has at least 1 win in each season he’s driven the #78. Chris Littrell was the first car 1 lap down in 4th and Jeff Stalnaker, Sr. finished 5th after a 3,000-mile flight earlier in the day.
