A Chance For $1000 At Bubba Raceway Park

Tampa, FL – It was the return of the Eagle Jet Top Sprints as they were back in action for their make-up race on June 22nd as Mother Nature rained the entire night of events out. Also racing tonight were the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks, Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds, Outlaw Fours and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers.
BRADENTON – A hard rain brought an abrupt end to the racing action at the Full Throttle Speedway Saturdaynight. Still, the sudden showers failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the fans and drivers. All of the preliminary races and two of the nine scheduled feature races were completed before the change in the weather forced the cancellation of the remaining race action.
Prior to the prelims, Michael Atwell of Naples turned in the fastest qualifying time for the feature events. Atwell circled the 3/8ths of a mile track in an impressive 16.151 seconds in the Sportsman category. Atwell also had the second fastest time when he completed his second lap in 16.221 seconds.
Before the rains came, four 6-lap preliminary races were completed. A fast paced Dwarf Car race had John Bailey of Sarasota taking the checkered flag ahead of Larry Hubbard III of Sarasota and Roger Richmond of Port Charlotte. (more…)

Ocala, FL- The NeSmith Crate Late Models, Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, TQ Late Models, and Rent-N-Roll Gladiators all put on a show for the ages at Bubba Raceway Park.
The TQ Late Models opened up the program with John Hopke jumping to the early lead. Terry Wright would steal it away on lap three as Hopke would have a right rear tire go flat. A few cautions early kept the field tight, but Terry Wright would never look back as he took home a big win over David Rader. Dalton Hopke slipped out of four at the end which allowed John Hopke to jump into third over Dalton. Jerry Heflin rounded out the top five.
Scorpion Racing Products Modifieds kicked it off with Roger Crouse shooting to the lead from fourth starting position. Rich Pratt would slow from fourth on lap fourteen and the resulting caution put Jeff Mathews in the pits as well; Crouse, Bryan Bernhardt, and Shane Nichols would restart as the top three with eleven to go. Mathews and Bernhardt would put on a mega fight, but Crouse won by a straightaway over Mathews and Bernhardt, respectively. Nichols and Scott Kurtzner completed the top five. (more…)

CHICO, Calif. – Sept. 7, 2013 – Two-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion Jason Meyers hadn’t been in a racecar since June 15, but no one would’ve guessed it on Saturday night after he made a mid-race pass for the lead and drove to victory in the 60th Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway.
Meyers captured two championships before announcing his retirement from the series in 2012 and has been on limited duty in sprint car racing in his native California since then, but on Saturday night he was in prime shape, capturing the lead and the victory after passing current championship leader Daryn Pittman on a lap 21 restart to lead a California sweep of the podium.
Andy Forsberg, who finished third in Friday night’s feature, bettered that performance on Saturday night with a second-place run. Jonathan Allard finished third, one spot ahead of Kyle Larson. Pittman finished fifth to and was the highest finishing World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series driver. (more…)
