Big Stars Headline CRA’s “Night of Stars Twin 100’s” at LOR under the Bright Lights of Indy

Schrader, Wallace, Stremme and Dillner to be part of the CRA Late Model Events Powered by JEGS

arcacrasmallSalem, IN (June 27, 2013) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS (CRA) officials announced today that some of the biggest favorites of Midwestern fans will be part of the action in Indy at Lucas Oil Raceway (LOR) on Friday, July 26.  Early commitments to race in CRA’s “Night of Stars Twin 100’s” have been received from NASCAR stars Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace, and David Stremme.  Also on hand to meet and greet with the fans and take part in the festivities will be Fox Sports/Speed TV NASCAR reporter Bob Dillner.  The racing action features twin 100 lap events for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance.  Many of the Nation’s top Super Late Model and Pro Late Model drivers will compete for bragging rights during one of the biggest racing weekends in Indy. Three-Time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, Johnny VanDoorn Wins Inaugural Battle at Berlin 251

15th Career Champion Racing Association Triumph; First Ever at his Home Track of Berlin Raceway

arcacrasmallMarne, Michigan (Saturday, June 15, 2013): The third and final day of the Inaugural Battle at Berlin Weekend wrapped  up a great weekend of racing at the historic Berlin Raceway, a tricky 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan as the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS were the headliners for the three-day weekend and the West Michigan crowd witnessed one of their own take home a $15,000 payday as three-time and reigning series Champion, Johnny VanDoorn finally broke through at his home track.

The Coopersville, Michigan native picked up his second win of the 2013 racing season in two starts, his 15th career Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS victory to move into sole possession of fourth all-time, but in his previous 14 wins, none of those came at his home track, a mere 10 minutes from home, until the first jewel in the $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series. 1coughlindixieBirch Run, Michigan (Friday, June 7, 2013): The third race of the 2013 racing season within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance was at the fast 4/10s (0.400) mile progressively banked d-shaped paved oval of Dixie Motor Speedway, located south of Saginaw in Birch Run, Michigan for the running of the Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com. At the end of the night, it was 17-year-old Cody Coughlin standing in victory lane after retaking the lead with seven laps to go to score his first career JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour victory.

 “This is pretty awesome to be standing here after winning a race. We won earlier this year down at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida during Speedweeks in February, but this is the one I wanted to win the most, a JEGS/CRA race,” The Delaware, Ohio resident excitedly stated in victory lane. “The Team did a great job all weekend and they have all season for that matter. We’ve had fast cars all year, but just always seem to have had bad luck. But not tonight.” He added. (more…)

JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Dixie Motor Speedway Friday

972206_530070010363729_830150061_nSalem, IN (June 3, 2013) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will head to Dixie Motor Speedway, located in Birch Run, Michigan,this Friday for the Dixie 100 Presented by JEGS.com. The event will be the third race of the season for the crate motor template bodied series sanctioned by CRA and its third event held at Dixie Motor Speedway.

In last season’s event at the fast 4/10s (0.400) mile progressively banked d-shaped paved oval, 2012 series Champion Daniel Hemric scored his third victory of the season in holding off Chad Finley to get the win. David Carter finished third, Jerrod Foley fourth and Tom Woodin fifth. (more…)

ARCA/CRA Super Series at Springport Motor Speedway this Saturday

20130528-194109.jpgSalem, IN (May 28, 2013) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will head to Springport Motor Speedway located in Springport, Michigan for this Saturday’s Springport 125. Saturday’s race will be the second series race held at Springport Motor Speedway after last season’s exciting event that was won by Johnny VanDoorn after a grueling battle with Becca Kasten. The two battled side by side over the last 10 laps swapping the lead several times until VanDoorn was able to use the last car on the lead lap as a pick to get the lead for the last time and the win. Nate Caruth finished in third, Travis Braden fourth and Kenzie Ruston in fifth. (more…)

Lebanon I-44 Speedway Serves as Hosts for the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Opener

9elliottLebanon, Missouri (Saturday, May 18th, 2013): The third season within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance began with the biggest and richest paying event in series history on  Saturday, May 18th at the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Lebanon I-44 Speedway, located southwest of St. Louis in Lebanon, Missouri and 17-year-old Chase Elliott made the 11-hour trip from Dawsonville, Georgia worthwhile by picking up the Green Jacket for winning the inaugural Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 Presented by JEGS.com.

“This is really neat, this is one of the coolest trophies I’ve ever got for winning a race.” The Hendrick Motorsports Development Driver remarked in victory lane after winning his fifth career JEGS/CRA race and receiving his Masters Green Jacket for winning the 144-lap event in the Show-Me State. “This means a lot especially with what it symbolizes back home.” He said in reference to the Jacket, which was modeled after the Masters PGA Golf Tournament which is held annually in his home state in Augusta, Georgia. Plenty of Talent to Battle for the Win in Saturday’s Mercy “Masters of the Pros”

Already 42 Entries to Date20130514-194313.jpg(Salem, IN.) – A stout field of cars and drivers is already entered for this coming Saturday’s Mercy “Masters of the Pros” 144 event that will be held at Lebanon I-44 Speedway, located in Lebanon, Missouri. This will be the biggest event to date for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance with the winner taking home a series record $8000 plus a signature green jacket, similar to the one that is known for adorning the champion of golf’s Masters event, along with the coveted signature winner’s trophy from JEGS presented to each series event winner. This event will be the highest paying Pro Late Model event in the country during the 2013 race season.

The event, which has already attracted 42 entries to date, will feature some of the best late model drivers in the country along with the best from the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and the best of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway O’Reilly Auto Parts Late Models. There is a strong NASCAR flavor with this event with Hendricks Motorsports Development driver Chase Elliott entered, the son of NASCAR Legend Bill Elliott, who will also be on hand as the Grand Marshall of the event. T.J. Reaid Repeats As ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Spring Winner At Anderson Speedway

Withstands Constant Challenges from 15-year-old Kyle Benjamin to Score the Win

ARCA-CRA-Super-Series-LogoAnderson, Indiana (Saturday, May 4th, 2013): The second race of the 2013 racing season for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS was at the famed ¼ (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana for the rescheduled Sell It Again Sam 125 Presented by Great Deals Magazine on Saturday, May 4th. This event was originally scheduled for April 13th but unusually cold temperatures forced Series and Track Officials to postpone the date. T.J. Reaid was perfectly fine with waiting the extra time as he repeated as the Spring Winner at Anderson.

The Acworth, Georgia native made the long trip worthwhile as he took the Team Construction Clean Sweep Award by winning the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award earlier in the day and then from his eighth starting spot, the driver of the #41 JEGS.com / Chevrolet took the lead for good on lap 69 as he swept around 2012 ARCA/CRA Southern Series Champion, 15-year-old Kyle Benjamin and then held off consistent challenges from Benjamin throughout the rest of the race to score his second straight Spring victory at Anderson. Forecasted Frigid Evening Wind Chill Leads to Re-Schedule of Anderson CRA Event

Sunday afternoon events at Anderson and LOR still full steam ahead

Officials from Anderson Speedway, with co-operation from CRA Powered by JEGS officials, announced that due to forecasted frigid wind chill temperatures for this Saturday evening, the season opener for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS has been postponed. The Sell it Again Sam 125 presented by Great Deals at Anderson Speedway has now been moved to Saturday, May 4th.

“It’s always a big deal when the stars from CRA show up for the Super Series events, and we owe it to the fans to try and give them the best environment possible to enjoy the show,” commented Anderson Speedway President Rick Dawson. “With forecasted wind chills in the evening in the mid 30’s, it just wasn’t going to be any fun for fans, racers or officials…and the bottom line is, this needs to be fun for everyone!”

As a result of the postponement of Saturday Night’s activities and subsequent reschedule, the CRA Stealth Street Stocks Powered by JEGS event that was originally scheduled on Saturday Night May 4th, has been moved to Saturday, April 27th. (more…)
