Officials from Anderson Speedway, with co-operation from CRA Powered by JEGS officials, announced that due to forecasted frigid wind chill temperatures for this Saturday evening, the season opener for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS has been postponed. The Sell it Again Sam 125 presented by Great Deals at Anderson Speedway has now been moved to Saturday, May 4th.

“It’s always a big deal when the stars from CRA show up for the Super Series events, and we owe it to the fans to try and give them the best environment possible to enjoy the show,” commented Anderson Speedway President Rick Dawson. “With forecasted wind chills in the evening in the mid 30’s, it just wasn’t going to be any fun for fans, racers or officials…and the bottom line is, this needs to be fun for everyone!”

As a result of the postponement of Saturday Night’s activities and subsequent reschedule, the CRA Stealth Street Stocks Powered by JEGS event that was originally scheduled on Saturday Night May 4th, has been moved to Saturday, April 27th.

Track and Series officials also noted that their events for Sunday afternoon were still absolutely “a GO”, with weather forecasted for the afternoon events as sunny and almost 70 degrees. Anderson Speedway has an open wheel show, the Glenn Niebel Classic, featuring Sprint Cars and Midgets this Sunday afternoon, while CRA will host a stock car show featuring Modifieds, Late Model Sportsman, Street Stocks and Compacts at Lucas Oil Raceway this Sunday afternoon. Anderson’s open practice scheduled for Friday evening is still on as well.
