CRA to Take on the High Banks of Winchester Speedway in the Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival
29 Cars Already Pre-Entered for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Feature Event
Salem, IN (August 29, 2012) – Champion Racing Association will be taking on the famous High Banks of historic Winchester Speedway this weekend with the famous Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival, one of the biggest stock car events held each year in Central Indiana. The weekend will feature exciting racing action from the ARCA/CRA Super Series, Top Speed Modifieds, Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman, CRA Street Stocks and the Vores Touring Compacts. Camping will be available all weekend and there will also be the annual Sunday night party in the pavilion featuring live music.
The ARCA/CRA Super Series has had 34 events to date at Winchester Speedway. Current ARCA/CRA Super Series points leader Johnny VanDoorn, Scott Hantz, Bull Baker and Brian Ross are all tied for the most series victories at Winchester with three apiece. Salem, IN (August 23, 2012) – Jay Niewiek, the 2010 and 2011 winner of the Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Season Award, continues to lead the 2012 Cometic Gasket Hardcharger standings after nine ARCA/CRA Super Series events so far this season, but series rookie Nate Caruth has closed to within two positions of catching Neiwiek with only four events left in the 2012 series schedule. Niewiek has gained 69 positions so far this season, while Caruth has now gained 67 positions including gaining five positions at the series last event at Dixie Motor Speedway on August 3rd were Niewiek suffered a rare DNF and lost two positions.
Salem, IN (August 13, 2012) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will make its first ever visit to Auto City Speedway located in Clio, Michigan this Thursday, August 16th for a special event that will include NASCAR Star Brad Kesolowski. The distinctive 4/10’s mile oval is located five miles North of Flint, Michigan. The event will feature the best of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour against the best of the Auto City Speedway ACSS Pro Late Models. Kesolowski is currently fifth in NASCAR Sprint Cup points and is tied with Jimmy Johnson for most wins with three to date. Kesolowski finished second to Marcus Ambrose in this past Sunday’s exciting finish at Watkins Glen.
Birch Run, Michigan (Friday, August 3rd, 2012): Two-Time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion and Current Points Leader, Johnny VanDoorn knows that to win a third series title and join CRA legend Scott Hantz as the only other Three-Time Champion in the series’ 16-year history, VanDoorn has to do well in the races in his home state of Michigan and accumulate those important points heading down the homestretch of 2012.
