Strong Group of Entries for ARCA/CRA Super Series JEGS 100 at Gresham Motorsports Park Saturday

Salem, IN (September 11, 2012) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series will head south for the JEGS 100, one of its Southern Tour events, this Saturday at Gresham Motorsports Park, located in Jefferson, Georgia. Gresham Motorsports Park, formally known as Peach State Speedway, went through a multi-million dollar renovation three years ago that made that facility the premier short track in the country and is the home for the World Crown, one of the top template Super Late Model events in the country.

Pollard got the win in last year’s CRA event at Gresham, taking the lead after passing early leader and fellow Georgia native T.J. Reaid on lap 58. Pollard would hold off a hard charging Augie Grill first and then Reaid in several late restarts to get the victory, one of 19 in a late model last year. (more…)

Flat Rock, Michigan-September 8, 2012: It was a night of firsts at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday as Angola, IN driver Scott Hantz held back Johnny VanDoorn and Jason Dietsch to win the exciting 7-Up 125 lap feature for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Late Models, Scott’s first Flat Rock win and the Series initial visit to the track. Despite DuQuoin Rainout, ARCA Properties Active on Labor Day Weekend

(TOLEDO, Ohio) – The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, ARCA’s top division, did not race Monday after consistent Labor Day weekend rain at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds left the facility unsuitable for competition.

The race has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 14, five days before the season finale at Kansas Speedway. Before those two events, the series will contest race No. 18 of 2012 at Salem Speedway next Saturday, September 15.

The last ARCA Racing Series event to be postponed to another weekend for weather was in 2003. A June race at Pocono Raceway was pushed back more than a month after inclement weather in Pennsylvania. Casey Mears then won both legs of the late July doubleheader, one on Friday and one on Saturday. (more…)
