Justin Boston Earns Career-First Pole at Salem; 93rd ARCA Race at Salem Sunday

(SALEM, Ind.) — When Justin Boston took the checkered flag to win the pole for Sunday’s Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Crosley Radio, crew chief Billy Venturini immediately started passing out high five’s and handshakes from his seat above the pit box for the 25 team.
“I think having him on the pit box elevates this team and our whole group,” Boston said while accepting the Menards Pole Award presented by Ansell. “I think it’s exactly what the ZLOOP team needs.”
Venturini, who won here in 2006 as a driver and has two wins as a crew chief at Salem, was excited for Boston.

CAMARGO, Ill. – You can’t blame the drivers of the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions if they are a little more excited than usual to head back to Central Pennsylvania. It’s no secret the UNOH All Star drivers have struggled against the tough competition of the drivers known as the “PA Posse.” But last fall, current UNOH All Star point leader Dale Blaney gave the series competitors a shot in the arm when he scored a victory against the Posse at Port Royal Speedway.
After a rainout last Friday night that was just a precursor of a very wet weekend in Central Florida, Orlando SpeedWorld is back in action this Friday and the weatherman is promising a Chamber of Commerce forecast this time. It was announced this week that the track is stepping up its effort to attract a bigger field of cars by raising purses providing the race teams Increase their participation. If 15 or more cars are entered, the purse for the top three positions will double for that class. This affects all classes with the exception of Super Late Models, Strictly Stocks and Bandoleros. Providing there are 15 cars entered, the purse for the Modifieds, E-Modifieds and Pro Trucks will increase to $500-320-220 for the top-three finishing spots. The Mini Stock purse for the top three would increase to $400-200-160 and the Super Stocks would see an increase to $300-160-140. The Super Late Model purse will remain the same, plus they will be the class eligible for national and regional points in the NASCAR Whelan All-American Series.
