Caution would come out before lap six was completed with Gary Lucas slowing in turn one ending his night with a thirteenth place finish. Jones would lead the field to the green once more until lap nine as Devon Smith and Eddie Summitt tangled in turn four. Smith’s night ended as he took the car to the infield and after running in the second position, Wayne Kissam pulled to the infield as well also ending his night. With just six laps remaining it would be a single file restart with Jones leading over Humfeld. When the green waved Jones led the way with George Handy charging past Humfeld to take over second as he tried to make it back to back wins.
