Ocala, FL (July 23rd, 2012) – After the Florida State Modified Championship saw the rain win the Second Half we return with the Twisted Tea Top Gun Sprint Cars, RaceCar Engineering Late Models, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunderstocks, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators. These 5 divisions know how to put on a show on the 1/3 mile of Bubba Raceway Park.
Auburndale Speedway was the place to be to see one of the best Late Model races of the season. Auburndale Speedway was the host of the First Annual Bryan Storer Memorial 115 Late Model race. We had twenty cars racing for the $4,000., 1 st place pay along with the title of winning the 1st Annual Bryan Storer Memorial. We want to thank everybody that had a part in presenting this race to our fans. It was a very good night of family entertainment for everyone. The winners in each race are as follows:
Karlin Ray’s rookie season in the Citrus County Speedway Pure Stock division has been up and down. While the young driver has shown he has the speed to contend, he had lacked the consistency to run up front. Combine that with some mid season motor problems, and any other rookie may have let that shake their confidence. Saturday night, Ray would return with his new power plant for the first time since his first feature win ever in May. After coming away victorious in his heat race, Ray (72) benefited from the two row feature inversion, starting in the 3rd position for the 20 lap Pure Stock feature. Sheri Makula (27) would jump to the early lead from her pole position and look to run away from the field.
Anderson, IN (July 21, 2012) – After having bad luck in his first visits to Anderson Speedway, Ross Kenseth got inside of Bubba Pollard with 51 laps remaining and went on to win the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 presented by Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, Great Deals Savings Magazine, Ed Martin Auto Group, Mitch Smith Auto Service at Anderson Speedway on Saturday.
GREENWWOD, NE (July 21, 2012) – Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine, IA completed a perfect weekend at I-80 Speedway, taking home the Second Annual Silver Dollar Nationals on Saturday Night. He earned $26,000 for his victory in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA sanctioned event.
