Sprinters Blister Volusia’s Clay As Martin Wins
BARBERVILLE, FL- When Ken Sands took over the operation of Volusia Speedway Park, he promised that fans would see plenty of sprint car action on the World’s Fastest Half Mile, and on Saturday night he proved that promise to be true. Twenty-eight top sprint cars and their drivers took to the clay outside of Barberville with twenty-four taking the green flag in the feature race, and they were complemented by twenty racers from the Florida Mini Sprint Association as well. And topping off the night were five of Volusia Speedway’s regular racing divisions, including the Budweiser Modifieds, the Daytona Machine Shop Sportsman Division, the Daytona Sportswear Street Stocks, the Amsoil Thunder Stocks, and the Sparkle N Shine Car Wash Challengers.
