Back again so soon? You bet!! We’re back in action this Friday Night with the re-scheduled “Kids Night”, which was rained out on June 8th. What’s Kid”s Night you ask? Well, for starters, all Kids 11 and under get in Free. Then there is Bike Races. Simply bring your Bike, and your helmet (required), and your entered into the Annual 5 Flags Speedway Bike Races. There is a simple registration inside the main entrance. No entry fee, and every Kid gets a trophy and an ice cream. Age groups include 5 & under, 6 thru 9, 10 thru 12, and 13 and older. Special Thanks to Beef O’ Bradys on Mobile Highway and Panhandle Grading and Paving for helping make the Bike Races possible.
The Racing program this Friday should be a humdinger. The Allen Turner Series for Pro Late Models will headline the night with Race #2 in the Series. Perdido Key resident Mike Garvey won the opener, and will no doubt be the man to watch ,but Mike will have his hands full handling the likes of Hunter Robbins, ( look for Hunter in the familiar red #18) Chris Davidson, Dwayne Buggay, and a host of others.
Steve Buttrick found his way back to the top spot in the West Florida Coatings Sportsman Division, outdueling Brannon Fowler, and Shana Ard last Friday Night. This trio will be relegated to start in the back of the pack this week, so the action should be furious. And the same will hold in the Butler U Pull-It Bombers where Curtis Faircloth came out of retirement to claim the bounty on Gary Goodwin, who had won the last 4 in a row. A special call out to Michael Nelson (2nd) and Leonard Craig Jr. (3rd) for their outstanding runs last Friday.
Friday’s program promises to deliver a lot of excitement, and be a lot of FUN as well, so load up all the Kids and let’s do this!!! Hope to see ya at the races…….
