Saturday night at Auburndale Speedway, The DARA (Daytona Antique Racing Association) presented a good show of 34 Antique race cars in 4 different categories, (Midgets. 6 cyl. V-8’s and Sprints).
We also had 5 of our regular classes racing. The winners in each class are as follows:

Auburndale Speedway was the place to be Saturday Night on St. Patricks Day. The Florida Promoter Super Late Models presented their second race of their 12 race series. The action started on Friday with practice for the Late Models. During practice Saturday afternoon, Keith Lilleys Late Model #87 had mechanical problems and ended up in the wall with his car bursting into flames. Good news Keith was not injured, but that was the end of his racing for the weekend.

Orlando FL . 3-11-12 – The ice has melted and the heat is on as the Florida United Promoters Late Model series rolls into Auburndale Speedway this Saturday March 17th for a St. Patrick’s day battle. “We had some of the best asphalt short track drivers in the state at Desoto for the opener, they put on a great show. Now we move to a tighter flat track at Auburndale, I can’t wait to see the action. We were a little disappointed with the car count at race one, but pleasantly surprised with the competitive racing. We will continue to build the series with the support of the racers, the fans, and the tracks” stated series director Rick Williams. (more…)

We had a good night of racing at Auburndale Speedway, we were featuring the Legends Cars Winter National’s 50 lap $1,000.00 to win. The Legends and Bandoleros will be at the track all week for their Winter Nation Races. The gates open at 8 AM, Monday thru Friday. Practice begins at 10 AM, Racing starts at 1 PM. There are drivers here from all over the world, so come on out and enjoy some good racing this week.

By Carol Andrews – Saturday Night at Auburndale Speedway was the final points night of the 2011 race season. Points champs came down to the tech area in the V-8 Bomber class. The 05 driven by Buddy Phillips Jr was the point leader going into the race and then was DQ’d in tech which made him loss the championship. 2nd place point leader Matt Bozeman was then declared the point champion. We had other disqualifications in tech but they did not effect the point championship in those division. The winners in each class are as follows. (more…)
We have two more weeks of Auburndale Speedway’s 2011 points season. Then we will have a special Winter Spectacular race on Dec. 3, With a 75 lap Open Wheel Modified race, 50 lap Sportsman, 40 lap Street Stock, and a 30 lap Scrambler race, so be sure to mark your calendars, your not going to want to miss this night.
