This week-end the Top Gun Sprint Car Series will run their 2nd of 6 features at Bubba Raceway Park in 2011. Alongside the Top Gun Sprints are the UMP Open-Wheel Modifieds, Barrett’s Race Cars Hobby Stocks for $750, Gladiators, and the return of the Sportsman class!

The Top Gun Sprint Car Series returns to Bubba Raceway Park and Danny Martin is the points leader, however he is 2nd in the Bubba Raceway Park points. Tyler Godwin, currently 14th in the Top Gun points, is the points leader, and only feature winner, for the Top Gun Sprint Cars at Bubba Raceway Park. Tim George is 50 points behind Martin in the Top Gun points and will do all he can to make them up. Mark Ruel, Jr., Terry Witherspoon, and Jimmy Ballew, Jr. round out the top 5 in the Top Gun Sprint Cars points. (more…)

Twice Is Nice At Bubba Raceway Park

On this night, the Top Gun Sprint Cars made their debut at Bubba Raceway Park this season, the RaceCar Engineering Late Models ran 2 features, the Amsoil V-8 Thunderstocks put another great show on, and the Gladiators gave the fans their money’s worth.

Top Gun Sprint Series makes scheduling announcement.

The Top Gun Sprint Series race at North Florida Speedway on June 25^th. has been canceled by the track. Phil and Liz Guadagno have decided that in the best interest of NFS to cancel the Top Gun Sprint Series for 2011. They wish the series well for the remaining 2011 season and maybe things will work out better and they can look at scheduling races for the 2012 season.

The series next event will be on July 16 at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL. This will be the start of a six race series at BRP with a separate point fund for the six races, with two of the events being run non- wings on October 15 & 22. The series has had a lot of interest in the non-wing shows.

Top Gun Sprint Series announces schedule change and current official point standings

The Top Gun Sprint Series race scheduled for June 4^th has been canceled. The next race will be at North Florida Speedway on June 25^th.

After three races Danny Martin Jr. leads the points with 450 points followed by Mark Ruel Jr. with 430 points, Terry Witherspoon is third with 422 points, Tim George is forth with 414 points and rounding out the top five is Jimmy Ballew with 396 points.
