Georgia Boot Now Titles Super Bowl Of Racing

Lucas Big LogoWAYCROSS, GA (January 7, 2014) – Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are excited to announce that Georgia Boot has signed on as the title sponsor of the 2014 season opening weekend at Golden Isles Speedway on February 6th, 7th and 8th in Brunswick, GA. The Georgia Boot “Super Bowl of Racing”, sanctioned by the LOLMDS, will consist of three full nights of racing at GIS and an open practice night on Wednesday, Feburary 5th. Both Fridaynight and Saturday night’s events will be the first “points” events of the 2014 season for the LOLMDS. Friday and Saturday’s events will also be filmed by the Lucas Oil Production Studios for broadcast on the MAVTV Network in 2014.

The Georgia Boot “Super Bowl of Racing” will also include a fan appreciation contest for fans that attend the kick off weekend in Georgia. Fans will be able to register at the Georgia Boot display booth at the track – for a chance to win cash and gift packages from Georgia Boot and Lucas Oil. On Saturday, Feb 8th twenty-four (24) names will be drawn from the entry box at the Georgia Boot booth, matching a fan with each driver that starts the feature event on Saturday night. The fan matched with the winning driver of the feature event will win a cool $515 in cash, a pair of Georgia Boots and a gift package from Lucas Oil. CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE SUPER LATE MODEL SERIES 2014 SCHEDULE SHOWS 10 RACES AND COUNTING

525 Super SeriesCARTERSVILLE, GA – The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series 2014 Schedule is showing ten races and counting for America’s first “Factory Backed and Factory Built” super late model series. Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will bookend the schedule with a $3,000-to-win 50-lap race on March 15 and the $6,000-to-win 2nd East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Al will host three events on the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series schedule. EAMS will host the second race of the season on The Chevy Super will be a part of the 36th September 25-28 with two races. The first race will be a 30-lap $2,000-to-win event on September 27, and the second event will be a 50-lap $3,000-to-win race on September 28.
Penton Raceway in Penton, AL will present Round 3 for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series on May 17 with a $3,000-to-win 50 lap race. Southern All Stars Add Two More Races To Schedule

SAS LogoFAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has announced tow more dates for the Memorial Day Weekend Shootout on Friday & Saturday night May 23rd & 24th with a pair of $4,000 to win events at the Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN., and the Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN.

Friday nigh May 23rd the series will return to the high banks of Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN., located just north of Lawrenceburg, TN., for a 40 lap $4,000 to win event.  It will be the first return of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series since 2001 when Byron Michaels of Florence, AL., captured the win in a May race and the only other appearance of the series in August of 1992 when Johnny Williams of Lexington, TN., took home the win.  The race at Thunderhill will all be contingent that all the remodeling that has begun at the track will be completed by then, if not the race will be moved to another date later in the year.

Then on Saturday night May 24th the series will head into the Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN., for another 40 lap $4,000 to win event.  The series has ran three races in the past at the west Tennessee oval from 1991-1993 with Southern All Star veterans, Mike of Ellenwood, GA., winning in ’91, Rex Richey of Ringgold, GA., taking wins in ’92 and ’93. Southern All Stars Will Once Again Officiate 2014 Ice Bowl At TST

IceBowl2014comingFirelargeFAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has been once again selected to officiate the 2014 Ice Bowl Jan 2-5 at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series the longest running touring Super Late Model series in the country will handle all technical and race procedures for the Super Late Models as well at the Sportsman/Limited Late Models.  The Super will compete in a $6,000 to win $500 to start 50 lap event that will utilize the following rules: Open Motors will weight 2300 lbs while all other motors will weight 2250 lbs.  Tires will be ANY 11×92 max.  1 lb per lap burn off, Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series body rules apply and all cars will utilize an 8 inch spoiler.  Entry fee is $100.

Thursday & Friday will be open practice for the Super Late Models as well as tech and registration will open on Friday.  Then on Saturday the Super Late Models will qualify and run heat.  Sunday there will be Last Chance races along with the 50 lap main event. (more…)

Danny Martin Wins Race and Points Champion 2013

Danny Martin at Hendry CountyThe Eagle Jet/Top Gun Sprints made their fifth visit of 2013 to the Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston on Saturday December 14, 2013. There were 16 cars at the track to give fans two heat races, and a 25 lap feature race.

The heat races are lined up using a pill pull system, and Tim George in the 1* had the pole for the start of the WELD RACING heat race with Ken Laureno in the 36 on the outside, Tim took the race lead, on the first lap 3A,15,and 36 got together and AJ was not able to restart. On the restart Tim took the lead, till Danny Martin in the 24 took the lead and the win. Gene Lasker had the pole for the start of the BROWN & MILLER heat race in the 02 car with Johnny Alexander in the 3T on the outside, Gene  took the initial race lead and went on to take the heat win, but forgot to go to scales so was DQed. That gave the win to Kyle Pitts in the 7 car.

During the intermission drivers and their cars was on the front stretch signing autographs and handing out RAD (Race Against Drugs) coloring books.

Using a passing points system to line up the feature race and an eight car inversion, Mike Schroeder in the 6 car had the pole for the start of the EAGLE JET feature race, with Johnny Alexander in the 3T car on the outside. The race got underway with Mike leading and Lap 1 seen first red caution with Billy Boyd flipping in turn 2 ending his night. On the restart it was Mike in the lead with Tyler Godwin closing in. Lap 9 the 10X of Sean Clark got tapped coming out 4 and spun into front stretch wall bring out the 2 red of the night. On the restart it Tyler got around Mike, then with two laps to go Danny Martin went high and Tyler went low around lapped traffic and Danny came out first and took the lead and the win. Tyler Godwin in the 82 finished in second place, followed by Shane Kreidler in the 52, Kyle Pitts in the 7, with AJ Maddox in the 3A car finishing out the top 5. The KSE Hard Charger Award went to AJ Maddox in the 3A car; Danny also won the Jeff Barfield Sweep of $400. Danny Martin wins 2013 Eagle Jet Top Gun Sprints Points Champion. (more…)

Southern Super Series To Visit GMP Twice In 2014

SGMP LogoJEFFERSON, GA – The Southern Super Series today announced that Gresham Motorsports Park would host a pair of high-profile Super Late Model Stock Car events in 2014.

GMP will host one event – a 125-lap battle – on Saturday, July 12. The second Southern Super Series race at GMP will be the 31st-Annual World Crown 300 on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

There will be 15 Southern Super Series races at five different tracks throughout the Southeast in 2014.

NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS ANNOUNCES 2014 TOURING DIVISION SCHEDULE

vaughn14schd (478x640)INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has announced its 2014 Touring Division schedule today at the PRI Trade Show. The 10th season for the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS Touring Division will feature 25 races over 11 weekends at 14 different tracks in seven different states.

Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL will bookend the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division schedule by opening the season with five straight races during the Bubba Army Speedweek, and then hosting the series finale.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will open the 2014 Touring Division season with four 40-lap $2,000-to-win races during Bubba Army Speedweeks at Bubba Raceway Park on January 28, 29, 30, and 31. The Bubba Army Speedweek finale at BRP will be on February 1 with a $3,000-to-win 50-lap race. The 10th Annual 100-lap $10,000-to-win Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race will close the 2014 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS season at BRP on November 21-22.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will return to Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA for the first time since 2006 with three $2,500-to-win races on February 6, 7, and 8 during the Annual Super Bowl of Racing. The first two races on February 6 and 7 will be 30-laps, and the February 8 race will be 50-laps.

The first event will be on March 28 with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race, followed by a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event on March 29. The first pair of races at 411 Motor Speedway will be the Old Smoky Moonshine Nationals. The NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS will also compete in the $4,000-to-win 3rd Annual J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 at 411 Motor Speedway on June 7.

Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR will host the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division for the second straight season with two 50-lap $2,500-to-win races as a part of the Ozark Nationals on May 2 and May 3. (more…)

INDIANAPOLIS – Dec. 12, 2013 – The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series announced a huge 2014 schedule on Thursday during the Performance Racing Industry trade show at the Indiana Convention Center, highlighting the “Salute to the King” as the legendary Steve Kinser makes his final run at winning a 21st championship beginning in February at the DIRTcar Nationals.

The 2014 tour will feature 92 race nights at 52 different tracks across 24 states and three Canadian provinces.

It all gets underway Feb. 14-15-16, 2014, during the DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Volusia Speedway Park, where Kasey Kahne Racing’s Daryn Pittman won on opening night last season and held off Tony Stewart Racing’s Donny Schatz in November at the World Finals to win the championship by the narrowest margin in series history. Record Number Of Events On 2014 DIRTcar Summer Nationals ‘Hell Tour’ Schedule

Grueling Dirt Late Model Series Will Test Teams With 33 Races Over 39 Days

DIRTcar LogoCONCORD, NC – Dec. 12, 2013 – A record number of events appear on the 2014 DIRTcar Summer Nationals ‘Hell Tour’ schedule, which was released Thursday by DIRTcar officials during the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in Indianapolis.

Stretching nearly six weeks for the second consecutive year, dirt Late Model racing’s biggest test of man and machine will feature 33 races at 32 tracks in nine states over a period of 39 days.

The DIRTcar Summer Nationals will begin and end with traditional dates, kicking off on Wed., June 11, at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway and concluding on Sat., July 19, at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio. In between competitors will travel nearly 6,000 miles and compete for $215,000 in first-place prize money.

“The expansion of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals to six weekends in 2013 proved to be a big success so we’re sticking with the same time frame for the 2014 ‘Hell Tour’ schedule,” said DIRTcar UMP director Sam Driggers. “Extending the Summer Nationals not only allows us to slot in more off days for the race teams but also gives us the opportunity to accommodate more racetracks that desire events – and that, of course, brings the Summer Nationals to more fans across the Midwest.” (more…)

Eagle Jet Top Gun Sprints Schedule Change

EagleJetTopGunlogoBlackSmallIn consideration of the time of year and how busy everyone is during the Holiday season we have revamped the race schedule for next weekend.  The program will now be a one day event on Saturday, December 14th.  The purse has been increased to the previously posted Sunday purse with a few more added incentives.

Race starting time will be moved forward to 4:30 drivers meeting, with hot laps to follow and racing to begin at 6 pm.

The top 5 in heat races will be paid as follows:  1st – $50.00, 2nd – $40.00, 3rd – $30.00, 4th – $20.00 and 5th – $10.00.

There will be a $100.00 payout for the leader at the halfway point.

There will be a $100.00 payout for a ‘hard charger’ award.

The feature will now pay $300.00 to start.

The Jeff Barfield Memorial Clean Sweep will be increased to $400.00 with a total purse payout for the night of over $10,000.00 for 24 cars.

The food concessions at the track will remain open for you to purchase food/drinks, and there will be a band for your enjoyment after the races.

Rooms are still available for those that would like to stay over at the Clewiston Inn.
