Devin Dixon Grabs Podium; Leads Chevy Performance Points
Ocala, Florida (06/06/17) – Devin Dixon piloted the Big Frog Motorsports #58 Dave’s Towing/Rocket XR1 Late Model into battle on Saturday night at Dixie Speedway with the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series. The Florida driver enjoyed a solid outing as he registered a podium finish.
“It wasn’t a bad night at all for our team, and it made the 8-hour ride a little less brutal to have such a strong run in our first time at Dixie Speedway,” Dixon said. “Our goal is to win the championship and the rookie title, and if we can keep performing at this level I’m confident that we can reach our goals.”
The Big Frog Motorsports team returned to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday night with Devin Dixon back behind the wheel for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. With 24 cars registered in for action, Dixon locked his spot into the School’s Out Bash A-Main with the 3rd-fastest time overall in qualifying.
With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Devin ran in 2nd the majority of the feature, but slipped back to 3rd when the checkered flag flew, trailing Cory Hedgecock and Jake Knowles across the finish line. John Ownbey and Ronnie Johnson completed the Top-5 finishers.
