DAYTONA  BEACH, Florida (February 14, 2012) – – Josh  Williams made six ARCA Racing Series starts last season. And it goes without  saying that Williams and his Josh Williams Racing team picked up the pace considerably from their previous season and will look to raise that bar even further in Saturday’s Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.  Eight  of the 18 year old’s 11 ARCA Racing Series starts have come on short tracks  with the other three consisting of the road courses of Palm Beach (Fla.)  International Raceway and New Jersey Motorsports Park. After turning the  legal age of 18 to compete at a superspeedway last August, the Port Charlotte, Florida native is has eagerly but patiently waiting increase his rhyme on the tour. The time has finally arrived.  “We’ve  been looking forward to this week since we started competing on the ARCA  Racing Series tour in 2010,” said Williams, whose team is now run out of  Concord, North Carolina. SYLVANIA, GA. (2-10-11) By Brian Liskai The difference a few months can make.

For Daryn Pittman, when the rescheduled Winter Freeze at Screven Motor Speedway was postponed late in 2011, it took away the opportunity to win the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions Eastern Region championship. Pittman came back to Screven determined to not let that championship get away again. Friday night he proved he will be a contender for that All Star title, leading all 30 laps to claim the $5,000 prize to open the series 2012 season.

Pittman finished just 17 points behind Lance Dewease in the UNOH All Stars final Eastern Region points and its $20,000 payday in 2011. On Friday, the Owasso, Oklahoma native and now Pittsboro, Indiana resident held off several challenges from young gun David Gravel of Watertown, Connecticut including a green-white-checkered finish – to claim his sixth career All Star win. CONCORD, NC – Feb. 4, 2012 – A record number of drivers have been approved as contenders for the 2012 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rookie of the Year award.

Eight competitors will carry rookie status when the national tour kicks off its 2012 schedule on Feb. 10-11 with the $20,000-to-win ‘Winter Freeze’ at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga., setting up an unprecedented battle for the prestigious first-year traveler honor.

All of the February events will be part of the All Stars Eastern Region Points battle, which will pay the champion $20,000 at the end of the season.

The Second Annual Winter Freeze will feature the UNOH All Stars, the Screven Late Models, Crate Late Models, Go-Karts and more.
