Young Chris Buescher, Veteran Frank Kimmel Take Intense ARCA Title Fight to DuQuoin’s “Magic Mile” Dirt Labor Day Monday Sept. 3

(TOLEDO, Ohio) – Nineteen-year-old Chris Buescher and 50-year-old veteran Frank Kimmel are preparing to take the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship title fight to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile dirt Labor Day Monday, September 3 for the 60th running of the Southern Illinois 100. With just three races remaining on the 2012 tour – DuQuoin, Salem (Sept. 15) and Kansas (Oct. 19) – the stakes could not be higher for both.

Buescher, who won at Madison Int’l Speedway last Sunday, increased his point lead to 60 points over Kimmel headed to DuQuoin. However, Kimmel dominated with a convincing victory on the Springfield mile dirt two weeks ago, and heads to DuQuoin as a five time winner of the Southern Illinois 100 presented by Federated Car Care. Coffey Shoots For First-Ever World of Outlaws Late Model Series Win In Tour’s Inaugural Visit To Little Valley Speedway

Wednesday (Aug. 29) Event Brings Series Regular To New York Track Where He Captured The Only Victory Of His Dirt Late Model Career

LITTLE VALLEY, NY – Aug. 27, 2012 – Vic Coffey has endured enough heartbreak in his pursuit of an A-Main triumph on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. He’s ready to break down the door to Victory Lane – now.

There might not be a better track for Coffey to take his next shot at a World of Outlaws checkered flag than Little Valley Speedway, which hosts the national tour for the first time on Wednesday night (Aug. 29). The half-mile fairgrounds oval is, of course, the site of the only feature win of Coffey’s dirt Late Model career to date.

“I really like that place,” said Coffey, who captured an unsanctioned dirt Late Model event at Little Valley on Sept. 9, 2007. “I won the first time I ever ran there and we’ve been good every time we’ve been there since then, so I’m definitely looking forward to the Outlaw show. If there’s a track where I feel good about our chances of finally knocking off one of these Outlaw races, it’s Little Valley.” (more…)

UARA-STARS Host Their 170th Event at Kingsport

Hendersonville, NC (8/20/12) –United Auto Racing Association will celebrate their 170th event at Kingsport Motor Speedway on Friday, September 14th.

In 2001 Kerry Bodenhamer along with now silent partners found a way to give back to the motorsport community. Bodenhamer decided to step out of the role as a competitor and major fabricator for late model stocks and become the backbone of the series.

Eleven years later, he serves as the President of the series while his wife, Wink, runs the Administration. Kerry’s son and sister also play a huge role in the series. Son A.J. is the Race Director and Ms. Kathy has double duty as pit booth sign in person and assistant score-keeper. The Bodenhamer family realized that racing is much more enjoyable when the whole family is involved and able to enjoy it. (more…)
