Stockton 99 Dirt Track Set for Grand Opening Featuring Outlaws
The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series debuts at the 3/8 mile on Friday, March 22
STOCKTON, Calif. – March 13, 2013 – There aren’t many better ways to break in a new track than to host the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.
That’s exactly what Stockton 99 Dirt Track is doing on Friday, March 22, when the premier sprint car series in the country will welcome another track to the California fraternity.
“As long as we can get more race tracks in California I think that’s great,” Jason Sides said. “It’ll be good to go there and see what it’s all about. I hear it’s a big track so another big track in California like Calistoga, that’d be great.”
Stockton 99 Speedway, which is located on the San Joaquin Fairgrounds, recently added the big 3/8-mile dirt track to the impressive facility. Stockton 99 Dirt Track was built in the infield of the old horse racing track at the fairgrounds and it joins a quarter-mile paved track, a karting track and a drifting track on the property. (more…)
Lavonia, Georgia – After post-race protest and inspection Brent Dixon of Elberton, Georgia has been declared the winner of the $3000 Late Model Mania FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division event at Lavonia Speedway. Dixon picked up his first career FASTRAK Touring event win aboard his Monty Dixon Racing / SWIFTCO / Jacky Jones Automotive #1 Rocket. “We had a really good car. We struggled a little when the track got all those crumbs on it. But it was a good day for us.” said Dixon in his post race interview.

CONCORD, NC – March 6, 2013 – Tim McCreadie is finally home in upstate New York following a near month-long, season-opening racing odyssey in the Southeast. But as much as the 38-year-old dirt-track star relishes a break in his schedule that provides time to work on his racing equipment and hang out with his girlfriend Karen and toddler son Gavin, he’s admittedly already eyeing his next trip south.

LAS VEGAS – March 6, 2013 – If the rest of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series races this season are anything like Wednesday night, fans across the country are in for a treat.
Lavonia, Georgia – The announcement was made on October 22nd 2012. Buzz was about Lavoina Speedway back in business after almost 3 years in slumber. Lavoina Speedway & Entertainment Complex is back and better than ever before. OH yeah did I forget to mention, LATE MODEL MANIA is this weekend!!
