NeSMITH STREET STOCKS “A FAMILY AFFAIR” AT SOUTHERN RACEWAY
CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL has become “A Family Affair,” as there were not one, but two father-son combinations competing against each other in Week 2 competition on April 2. Frank Wilson of Milton, FL took on his 13-year-old J.C. Wilson and Branden Harris of Molino, FL raced his dad Ronnie Harris.
The Wilson’s lined up for the first Heat Race side-by-side on the front row. It was Papa Frank taking the win over J.C. Frank went on to win the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division main event in his first night out in the Wilson Lumber Company Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. J.C. brought his team car home in the ninth spot.
There is a third Wilson family member competing in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division, as Frank’s brother and J.C.’s uncle Stuart Wilson of Milton, FL drove his Wilson Lumber Company Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to victory in April 2 in Week 2 competition at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL.
