Webster Dominates Super Late Model Field at Citrus County Speedway

Daniel Webster (33) returned to Citrus County Speedway this past Saturday night after running some out of town tracks the past month. Webster took his talents north, to Anderson, IN to run in the ARCA/CRA super series. Webster had never even seen the track before, and managed to survive one of the toughest tracks in the Midwest. Webster came home with a solid 6th place finish against some of the best driving talent in the country. Webster then visited another track he had seen before, but never driven. Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola was his next stop for one of the Blizzard 100 races that lead up to the well know Snowball Derby. Again Webster ran well inside the top 10, before a crash with 2 laps to go, collected him ending his night. (more…)

Auburndale Speedway Results from May 12, 2012

Auburndale Speedway was the place to be to see the best field of Open Wheel Modified Drivers. We had 26 OWM check in to compete in the 50 Lap, $1000.00 to win race. Only 24 cars were allowed to start the feature. Sean Bass driver of the #127 was fast qualifier for the race. The finishing order for the OWM and the other classes are as follows:

Superman Sport Allen Returns To Victory Lane At East Bay Raceway Park

May 12, 2012 – Tampa, FL – Five divisions were on hand at East Bay Raceway Park. East Bay Sprints, Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, Outlaw Fours and the Dirt Daubers.

First feature of the night went to the Outlaw Fours. Billy Howard and Jesse Brown won the heat races. It was Zach Amundsen and Roberto Morfin, Jr starting on the front row. When the green dropped, it was Amundsen taking the early lead, with Morfin, Jr. close behind. On lap two, Morfin, Jr. started smoking and pulled off as the first caution was waved for Brandon Yates spinning in turn two. (more…)

5-12-12  The RaceCar Engineering Late Models went 25 grueling times around Bubba Raceway Park as the Buddy’s Home Furnishings Limited Late Models, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunderstocks, Barfield Law Group Mini Stocks, and Spectators battled on the clay.

The Spectator Race belonged to the Sanderson family as they swept the Finals. Younger Dennis Sanderson drove his Bareta to victory over Older Dennis Sanderson who was bridesmaid again in his Dodge Van. (more…)

Poole celebrates 21st Birthday and her first win in Pro Truck class

Punta Gorda speedway once again had some great racing action that thrilled the nice crowd that was on hand.  The night started with Noah Weaver winning the Bandolero feature.  The Dwarf cars were on hand and ran twin features that saw Andy Pryor of Bonita dominate the first featured event with John Bailey second and Roger Richmond third. The second feature it was Pryor in the lead but Bailey took the outside and they drove door to door till three to go. Bailey made the move on Pryor and passed on the outside and finished first with Pryor second and Roger Richmond third. (more…)

Auburndale Speedway Results from May 5, 2012

Auburndale Speedway was the place to be Saturday Night, with the full moon shining bright over the track and 116 cars and trucks ready to take to the track. It was a full night of action packed racing for the fans. We had 20 Trucks competing for the checkered flag. Fast qualifier in the Trucks was the #2x, Gerald Campbell. Jessica Murphy Grabs Big Win at Auburndale!

After qualifying 3rd and with the inversion starting 7th. Murphy worked patiently, yet aggressively up to grab the lead. Making the most pf a good handling truck she would lead halfway and the most laps to pick up the win and move from 16th in the points to 5th. Jim Cowhey Jr. started 12th and made a tremendous run to grab the second spot with a last lap bump and run. Tom Sozio, leading the points coming in, started 6th and had a good steady run to finish 3rd and gained 3 points and retained the points lead. Danny Anderson after showing up late to track and getting only 4 laps of practice, qualified and started 13th and worked his way through traffic to take a 4th place finish at the checkered flag. New comer Steve Markey driving a team truck to Jim Cowhey Jr. started 10th and notched a fifth place finish at the checkered.  Gerald Campbell was the All Compressor & Equipment Inc. (more…)

Keith Nosbisch Back In Victory Lane At East Bay Raceway Park

May 5, 2012, 2012, 2012 – Tampa, Fl – It was a night of the Supermoon and Kentucky Derby night at East Bay Raceway Park along with the Late Models, Street Stocks and Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers.

Before the feature events, kids 12 & under had a chance to win gift certificates along with the adults who had a chance to win a $50 Chili’s Gift Certificate in a blow up horse race on the front stretch. Joline Wilson won the gift certicate for the kids and Kendra Lee Quinn won the adult race. Also a hat derby contest was held and Amanda from Dunedin also won a $50 gift certificate to Chili’s. Gilbertson Out-Duels Butler for TBARA Win at Citrus County Speedway

Citrus County Speedway fans packed the grandstands to see the first TBARA sprint car show in nearly two years Saturday night. 18 winged outlaw sprints cars thundered to the green flag for the start of their 30 lap feature. The green flag wasn’t out for long, lap three would see the first of 2 cautions on the night. Contact between Jimmy Alvis Jr (21) and Mickey Kempgens (75) in turn 4 sent Kempgens racers hard into the concrete retaining wall, bringing out the red flag. Kempgens needed a few moments to catch his breath after the hard impact, as he sat against the turn 4 wall while being looked over by the EMT staff. Alvis Jr came away uninjured, but the same could not be said for his machine. (more…)

Full Moon And A Full Smile

As the Top Gun Sprints, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunderstocks, Barfield Law Group Mini Stocks, Rent-N-Roll Gladiators battled for points and put on breath taking events the Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Open-Wheel Modifieds had a special privilege. Ten year old Justin Fairbanks had the time of his life as he was Grand Marshall, Trophy Man, VIP, and every driver’s biggest fan as his favorite Modifieds, as well as 5 other divisions, raced on the toughest 3/8 mile in the country!

The night’s action started with the Hobby Stocks. Kyle Morse spun on lap 3 to bring out caution #1 with Howard O’Steen, Darran Jackson, and Rodney Wright up front. Just 2 laps later O’Steen broke and caught Grady Christian with him; the accident ended Christian’s night and ruined O’Steen’s. The wreck left Jackson and Wright 1-2 with Trevor Gamble in hot pursuit. (more…)
