Brannon Takes 1st Super Late Model Victory of 2012 at Citrus County Speedway

13 Super Late Models came to the green for their 35 lap feature with Randy Anderson (4) on the pole with his sharp looking new body. Anderson would jump out to the early lead with outside pole sitter Drew Brannon (82) falling into the second position. Brannon would go to work on Anderson for the lead right away, taking away the top spot on lap 6. Brannon would bring 6^th place starter Herb Neumann Jr (98) with him to the 2^nd position. The field would be slowed for it’s 1^st caution at lap 11 for contact between Todd Brown (23) and Steve King (16). (more…)

Sean Rayhall Celebrates First Career Win at Caraway Speedway

Hendersonville, NC (7/30/12) –Sean Rayhall and his team under the guidance of Tom Pistone celebrated for the first time in UARA-STARS Victory Lane following the Racing Electronics 150 event at Caraway Speedway Saturday, July 28^th. Rayhall’s win was certainly what the young driver needed as he still physically recuperates from his big legends wreck in June.

Caraway’s former 4-time track Champion Travis Swaim jumped out front early and led the majority of the race, awarding him Tilton’s Most Laps Led Award. After qualifying second, Rayhall floated in the top five for the entire race. When it was coming down to crunch time Swaim got the jump on Rayhall at the restart of the second to last caution. The two were neck-in-neck after the first lap, but once Rayhall got out front it was smooth sailing on his part. (more…)

McCreadie Repeats in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Action at Utica-Rome

VERNON, NY (July 25, 2010) – Tim McCreadie of Watertown, NY made it a repeat performance from a year ago on Wednesday Night in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Utica-Rome Speedway. McCreadie, who started eighth last year, started fourth this time around, and grabbed the lead on lap nine from Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, FL.

McCreadie then held off a furious challenge from Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN to capture the $10,000 victory. Owens charged from his ninth starting spot and pulled even with McCreadie several times in the race, but couldn’t clear him for the lead. Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA came from the 18th starting position to finish third, for his best career LOLMDS finish. Pearson was fourth. (more…)

Blaney Earns 92nd All Star Win by Dominating at Hibbing

HIBBING, MN. (July 24, 2012) By Brian Liskai – Dale Blaney was in the right place at the right time. “The Low Rider” led all 40 laps Tuesday at Hibbing Raceway to claim his second straight University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions victory.

The win pads Blaney’s point lead in the UNOH All Star’s Great Plains Region, which will pay the champion $10,000 as part of the annual Thunder Through the Plains. It was his series’ leading eighth victory of 2012 as the three time UNOH All Star champion has won nearly one third of the total features held this season. Blaney, who recorded eight UNOH All Star wins in all of 2011, now has 92 career victories with the series, just six away from tying hall-of-famer Kenny Jacobs for the most all-time wins. (more…)

Blankenship Wins Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Debut at Stateline

BUSTI, NY (July 24, 2012) – The record books will show that John Blankenship of Williamson, WV led all 50 laps of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series debut at Stateline Speedway in Tuesday Night. The record crowd that was in attendance knows that just for a moment Ripley, NY’s Mike Knight almost pulled off a major upset.

Blankenship, who won the first major race of his career in 2005 at Stateline, stormed to a healthy early lead over the field. Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN ran in second place for the first 28 laps of the race, until Knight, using the top groove on the track, ran him down and passed him on lap 29. (more…)

Blaney back in UNOH All Star Victory Lane to Open Thunder Through the Plains

WILMOT, WI (July 21, 2012) By Brian Liskai– After having missed the last two University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions events due to mechanical issues with his team’s tow vehicle, Dale Blaney was chomping at the bit to get back behind the wheel of his Ti22 Performance machine.

Blaney, a three time UNOH All Star champion, dominated the early portions of the “Outlaw Sprintacular” co-sanctioned UNOH All Stars/Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series event Saturday at Wilmot Raceway. “The Low Rider” then had to hold off three time UNOH All Star Champion and current series’ point leader Tim Shaffer and IRA champion Bill Balog in the closing laps to score the win.

It was Blaney’s 7th UNOH All Star win of 2012 and the 91st of his career, moving him to within seven victories of tying hall-of-famer Kenny Jacobs for the series’ all-time win lead. (more…)

Auburndale Speedway Results from July 21, 2012

Auburndale Speedway was the place to be to see one of the best Late Model races of the season. Auburndale Speedway was the host of the First Annual Bryan Storer Memorial 115 Late Model race. We had twenty cars racing for the $4,000., 1 st place pay along with the title of winning the 1st Annual Bryan Storer Memorial. Dollansky Delivers at Lebanon Valley

He Wins for the Third Time in the Last Four World of Outlaws Races at the Half Mile

WEST LEBANON, N.Y. — July 22, 2012 — It was quite an eventful 24 hours for Craig Dollansky.

A night after flipping twice in the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway, Dollansky and his team fixed the damaged sprint car and hauled nearly six hours to put on a show at the only World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event of the season in the New England area.

Dollansky set quick time and squeezed by polesitter Joey Saldana with five laps remaining to secure his 50th career World of Outlaws feature victory and third in the last four years at Lebanon Valley Speedway on a warm Sunday evening. (more…)
