Stickler, Jackson victories top Desoto action

Mother Nature may have tried to win for the third week in a row at Desoto Speedway, but those who waited out a two-hour rain delay saw some fast and furious action Saturday night that featured some dramatic finishes and a familiar face finally getting his breakthrough win for 2015.
The J.D. Byrider Open Wheel Modifieds headlined the nights racing action. Thanks to an inversion of the field after qualifying L.B. Skaggs started on the outside pole for the 30-lap main event and paced the field for the first five laps with Cody Stickler, who won multiple events during the 2014 season, directly on his tale.

GIBSONTON — At East Bay Raceway on Saturday night it was Tim Gay in the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks, Roy Woodhouse in the V8 Warriors, Kyle Bronson in the Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds, George Handy in the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers and in the Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association it was Bobby Jordan in the Midgets, Kelly Jarrett in the V8’s, Dan Darnell in the 6 Cylinders and Charlie Dean in the Sprints.
