Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series Return To Tennessee National Raceway May 24th
FAYETTEVILLE, TN–The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will be making it’s sixth stop of the 2014 season Saturday night May 24th at the Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN., for a 40 lap $4,000 to win event that will feature a special Memorial Day weekend celebration. The series will be returning to the west Tennessee track for the first time since 1993, the first event held there was in 1991 as Mike Head of Ellenwood, GA., took the win then in the 1992 and 1993 season Rex Richey of Ringgold, GA., and scored the victories. This Saturday night there will be a new name to put on the list as the Southern All Star winner at the ¼ mile oval.
Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN., will be on leading the series drivers into the return trip to Tennessee National as he holds a 64 point lead over second place driver Dylan Ames of Harvest, AL., third place in points just 14 points behind Ames is Josh Putnam of Florence, AL., and tied for fourth place in points is Bo Shirley of Gadsden, AL., and leading Cruise with the Champions/Dirt On Dirt Rookie of the Year Chris Wilson of Crossville, TN., all of these drivers will be in action for the series return.
Tampa, FL – Four divisions were on hand as the Eagle Jet Top Gun Sprints, Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds, V8 Warriors and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers were here at East Bay Raceway Park.

Denver, NC (5/6/14) – Lee Faulk Racing and Beak Built Chassis have formed a partnership making them the first cross genre driver development program. The newly formed alliance will enable LFR to offer both asphalt and dirt development programs.
Auburndale Speedway, located in central Florida, has decided to take their late model racing to the next level. General manager, Rex Guy, has announced that Auburndale Speedway has teamed up with well renowned tech inspector Ricky Brooks. Ricky has been a tech inspector since 2005, and was also involved in racing as a late model driver in recent years. Ricky is widely known for his abilities as the famous Snowball Derby tech man and in the past 5 years has also been the Florida Speedweeks tech inspector at New Smyrna speedway. Ricky’s abilities as a tech man have been challenged by some of the best late model teams in the nation, which over the years has helped him in keeping the most level playing field for all competitors. Ricky’s duties will not only include being the late model tech man, he will also be the race director for the remaining late model races at Auburndale Speedway for the remainder of 2014. The management of the speedway are excited to welcome Ricky Brooks to their facility to further help Florida short track racing in its ability to promote some of the biggest and best late model races in the near future. Auburndale’s first late model event with their new tech/race director will be on June 21st. Ricky would like to invite each and every late model team to come challenge for the top spot in his inaugural event. WAYCROSS, GA (May 14, 2014) – The 22nd Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 – Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com is drawing closer and the excitement is building for this crown jewel event, held at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. This year’s mega event is co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series and will begin on Thursday, May 22nd with the running of the “Cowboy Classic” in honor of former owner and promoter of the MLRA Series Allen “Cowboy” Chancellor, who recently succumbed to a short illness. This will be an annual tribute to “Cowboy” and kick off one of the biggest dirt late model weekends of racing in the country. The Thursday night show will include time trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and a 45-Lap feature event for the late models paying $5,045 to win plus the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds will run a full show paying $500 to win. NASCAR star and television personality Kenny Wallace will be competing in the Modified division on Thursday night. The 45 represents Cowboy as this was his car number when he raced throughout the mid-west for many years.
NASCAR Whelan All-American Series competition continues this Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway with the Pro Late Model class back in action for their second 50-lap race of the year.
