OCALA, FL (2-23-12) By Brian Liskai Though he hails from Dover, Missouri, Danny The Dude Lasoski found his winter home of Ocala, Florida to his liking Thursday. Lasoski, piloting his own #33 Triple X Chassis, Kistler Engines powered machine, scored his second University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions feature event of 2012 in the Sunshine State to open the three straight nights of racing at Bubba Raceway Park.

Lasoski, who set quick time in Kistler Engines Qualifying, ran from sixth to third in his heat and won the Outwears Performance Products Dash to earn the pole position to start the 30 lap feature. He would bolt into the lead at the drop of the green, but the action ground to a halt when Luke Hall flipped (he was okay). The race went back to green and Lasoski, in the Todd Creason, Tony Ross, Klein Motors and RVs backed machine, would lead three time UNOH All Star champion Dale Blaney as they would soon race into traffic. The quick pace of the race would be slowed with just four laps to go when the caution flew. Lasoski, who also won an All Star event last week at Volusia Speedway, used the clear track to power to his 35th career All Star win to move him into 15th on the series all-time win list.

It certainly helped to start up front. The track was narrow thanks to Mother Nature and the rain we got the day before. But, you still had to have the car work well and the motor had to be on. I have to say this Triple X Chassis suits my driving style and Paul Kistler gives me an awesome motor, said Lasoski. Its pretty cool to be one win away from Steve Kinser on the All Star win list.

Blaney would drive his George Fisher Racing, Ti22 Performance #2 to a second place finish, to complete a good day for the family as his brother Dave raced his way into the Daytona 500. Tim Shaffer, the defending and three time UNOH All Star champion, would come home third in his Aaron Call/Janet Holbrook owned, Kistler Engines backed #83 while Sam Hafertepe came in fourth in his Zemco Speed Equipment #1z with Aaron Ott in the Hamilton Motorsports/Don Ott Engines/Miller Bros. Chevrolet backed #77 rounding out the top five.

There was very little passing tonight. When I put 29 tear-offs on when Im starting on the front row should tell you how wet and heavy the track was, said Blaney. I got to Danny a couple of times, but I was never in a position to passeven in lapped traffic.
