It was a beautiful night for racing and the fans got lots of action as the temperatures rise so does the action. The 25 lap Truck feature race was amazing. The first yellow did not fly until lap 19 when Brent Huber spun out. From that point on it was like a different race. On lap 23 the second yellow flag flew as Andrew Gipson hit the wall on the backstretch. The final lap proved to be something to remember.
Going into turn 4 the 48 truck of Bill Manfull pushed the 37 truck of young Nick Hernandez and sent him sideways, the trucks continued on towards the checkered flag and they again got into each other and crossed the finish line spinning and bouncing off the wall. The fans went wild and the drivers made special hands signs to each other, but it was one great race. The Truck results are as follows:

The Rock-em Sock-em boys had a great night with 14 cars in the field. The bombers rubbed a little but ran a clean race that was fast and hard fought. Visiting driver Jeff Firestine won the feature race with “The Mayor” John Stewart taking a very close second and Richie Shepherd Sr. driving to third.

The Open Wheel Modified race was such a great race the “Godfather” claimed it was “The kind of race the fans come to see”. Who wants to argue with the Godfather?? The race was won in the last three laps as Wayne Jefferson lead for 32 laps, then Teddy Nelson went by him coming out of turn 2 and was off the charts fast. Ralph Bowman in the #2 car got loose and slid up and skinned the wall in lap 21. David Grogan in car #101 spun out on his own in lap 28. The finishing order is as follows:

The Pure Stocks were in fine form tonight as they put on an incredible show. Duane Best passed the #71 of Darrin Ellis on lap 6 and held the lead to win the race. That is the end of the good news for the Best Boys tonight. Jimmie Best in the #67 car got tangled up with the #89X of Joshua Todd in turn 1 and Troy Meredith in the #00 went head first into the wall. Then on lap 18 with the # 88 Jamie Wilson sliding sideways and getting tangled with the #89 of Todd and the #67 of Jimmie Best again; but this time Best went into the wall hard. Rumor has it the beautiful #67 car of Jimmie Best is junk and that is bad news as the Best brothers will have to start over on a car.
