Driver Seat Racing, Inc. is pleased to announce their sponsorship and management of the 2014 Southern Pro Am Truck Series (SPATS), the southeast’s newest Pro Truck oval track racing series.
The Southern Pro Am Truck Series is made up of professional and amateur race car drivers, and due to the variety of racing experience, SPATS will facilitate a team atmosphere. SPATS members will be encouraged to help fellow members (teammates) improve each week. The Southern Pro Am Truck Series goals are to provide up-to-date communication to its members and attract new members by providing a fun, competitive and hassle-free racing experience. In addition, Driver Seat Racing and SPATS have recruited current Pro Truck drivers to help with rule improvements, tech inspections, and consulting on the overall function of the series.
Since pro trucks are the next step up for teens racing in the Legend, Mini Cup and Pro Cup Challenge Racing Series, SPATS will use its relationship with Lee Faulk Racing and Development to support their advancement to the next levels of limited late models, late model stock, K&N Series/ARCA…
With major companies backing the series (see website), another goal of SPATS is to increase the popularity of Pro Truck oval track racing throughout the Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, South and North Carolina racing communities.
The opening day for SPATS is Sunday February 16, 2014 at Bronson Speedway (Archer, FL); pit gates open at noon and racing starts at 2 pm.
