HUNTSVILLE, AL (September 8, 2012)—The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series will head back to the Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, TN for the Grant Adcox Memorial / Coca-Cola Stars and Stripes 40 on Saturday Night September 15th.

The event, which was scheduled to be run on July 14th will feature the SAS Late Models for the fourth time this season at Cleveland competing for $3,500 to win. In previous visits to the Cleveland Speedway this season there have been three different winners with wins going to Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN during the Shamrock in April, Skip Arp of Georgetown, TN claimed the TN memorial race in May then Billy Ogle Jr. claimed the Budweiser Jean Johnson Memorial event in August.

Two-time series champion Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN in the Outlaws Race Products GRT special leads the series points heading into Cleveland over Mike Weeks of Friendsville, TN then Shan Smith of Dade City, FL is third in series points, William Thomas of Phenix City, AL is fourth and defending series champion Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN is fifth.

The SAS Late Models will be competing for a $3,500 to win / $300 to start main event with a complete show of Practice, VP Racing Fuels Qualifying, Hoosier Racing Tire Last Chance Showdowns and the 40-lap main event. Also competing will be the Limited Late Models/Steel Head Crates racing for a $1,200 to win main event and also A-Hobby, B-Hobby, Pony’s and FWD’s. Southern All Stars Rules and Procedures will be in affect at all times while transponders and RaceCeivers are mandatory for competition. The SAS entry fee is $100.00.

The pit gates will swing open at 3:00 pm on September 15th with Grandstand Gates opening at 4:00 pm while the Driver’s Meeting is slated for 7:00 pm and Hot Laps scheduled shortly after at around 7:15 pm.
