Volusia Speedway Park had a record breaking crowed in the grandstands. An unforgettable night of racing was had with full fields totaling 82 cars. 12 wiener dogs came out for the best dressed and fastest wiener contest as well. Volusia got a new champion in the fastest wiener contest as daisy duke came in for the win with 2 wieners were on her tail. Molly won the best dressed.
Boy scouts from all over were with us as well. They sang the national anthem and presented several trophies through out the night. The boy scouts came out to show their support for the #8 Scott Lagasse Jr. Scotts Late Model was covered in boy scouts signatures from the boys that helped build the car and came out to show support.
A great night all the way around on this last day of August, as Mother nature held off just long enough the show to come to a close.
