Jim Rouse, BRP Media (9-22-12) Ocala, FL – The RaceCar Engineering Late Models returned while the Buddy’s Home Furnishings Limited Late Models, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, Barfield Law Group Mini Stocks, and Rent-N-Roll Gladiators also put on spectacular shows.

First up were the Buddy’s Home Furnishings Limited Late Models. Christian McGillivray would lead from pole until a lap 2 restart which allowed Carter Stokes to get around him. Just moments after the lap was completed the yellow flew for Kevin Mills who had a flat tire on his SNM Racing #01. On lap 5, Forrest Gough, fighting for 3rd, went door-to-door with JO Nobles and spun as a result. Denica Hetznecker and Billy Holmes were also involved when Denica spun to avoid contact with Gough. All 3 would continue on. Stokes pulled away from the field but “Big Chief” David Showers and JO Nobles were hunting the young driver down. Stokes would hold on for win #1 on the dirt while JO Nobles would improve his points lead with a 2nd place finish. David Showers used his son’s machine to finish 3rd with Forrest Gough and Christian McGillivray the top 5.

Barfield Law Group Mini Stock’s went out 2nd and Travis Staats would lead lap 1 from outside pole. Meanwhile Buddy Pope was having a dismal night as he chases that championship. With 2 solo spins in 8 laps he was not enjoying his night. The Staats boys were, however, as they were 1-2 while Nick Kerr could not find his way around the AR Machines. Travis Staats would win with Charlie Staats 2nd in a dominat performance from the family. Nick Kerr was a dismal 3rd, Reid Christensen put in a beautiful drive but could only muster up 4th, and Buddy Pope finished 5th.

The RaceCar Engineering Late Models ran as the middle race of the night with Rich Pratt the leader after 2 laps. Len Parrish, Keith Nosbisch, Bug Rose, Cory Hupp, and Jim Cryer would pile-up in turn 2 on the restart while Rich Pratt, Mark Whitener, and the Mathews Motorsports cars of Jeff Mathews and Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. ran in the top 4. Cryer would be the only retirement from the accident as he broke the left front suspension. Whitener would steal the lead on the restart while Pratt would have to settle for P2. On lap 17 Austin Dowling would spin and allow Pratt and the Mathews cars another shot at Whitener. With 5 to go Dalton Meyers lost the left rear which ended a great run for driver #54. Mark Whitener would take home yet another win with Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Rich Pratt, Keith Nosbisch (in relief for Bo Allen), and Christian Augspurger the top 5.

1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks were the 4th race on the plate and Jason Gamble showed that the TNT Automotive machine was up to par- unfortunately just a few laps in the #21 started smoking handing the lead over to Jonathan Appleby who would not relinquish it. Brian Mullins finished 2nd, James Erickson could only muster up 3rd, Shane Nichols finished 4th, and John Thorpe rounded out the top 5.

Rent-N-Roll Gladiators finished the night up with a 10-lap no-points race. John Moore dominated while Randy Harless nearly spoiled it. Brandon Haseleu finished 3rd with Stephen Frankland and David Pate the top 5.

Next week is the Night Of A Thousands and it will highlight the Twisted Tea Top Gun Sprint Cars, Scorpion Racing Products Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, and the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators. For more information you can check out
