CARTERSVILLE, GA – The points battle for the $10,000 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Championship continues to tighten up after Week 21 competition, as Chase Washington of Houlka, MS has closed to within one point of Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA at the top of the points list.

Washington took his tenth win of the season on Friday night at Malden Speedway in Malden, MO to net two points driving the Jerry Inmon Racing Special.  Trosclair was also planning on making the trip to Malden Speedway, but his tow rig broke down, and rainouts on Saturday night and Sunday night prevented Trosclair from attempting to net points.
