CARTERSVILLE, GA – Moulton Speedway in Moulton, AL has signed on with the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division for the 2013 season. Moulton Speedway becomes the first track in Alabama to sign on with the newest series under the Crate Racin’ USA banner. Street Stock drivers at Moulton Speedway will compete for a National and Track point fund.

Moulton Speedway joins Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA, and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS as a part of the inaugural season for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division.

“We are proud to be the first track in Alabama to sign up for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division weekly sanction, and we feel like this is a great program for our Street Stock racers to get in on the ground floor,” Moulton Speedway Promoter Jaradda Sparks said. “We had already committed to a good weekly point payout for the track, and now with the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point fund, these guys have good money to race for.”

Competitors in the Street Stock Division at Moulton Speedway will compete against drivers at other NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division sanctioned tracks using a points system over a 27-week season that runs from March 25 through September 29. A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals will count towards their National point total.

The 2013 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock National Champion will earn $2,000 and the point fund will payback through the Top 10 drivers in the final point standings. Moulton Speedway will host a “Pre-Season” race this Saturday night, and the National points competition at Moulton Speedway will begin with the March 30 event.

There are new owners at Moulton Speedway, as the track was recently purchased by S&M Enterprises. Moulton Speedway is currently undergoing some renovation, as the track prepares for the 2013 season, presenting six Divisions on Saturday nights.

“We are doing a lot with Moulton Speedway, and right now, we are in the process of putting 150 loads of clay on the track,” Sparks said. “The racers will have a great surface to race on this year and into the future. We are excited about the good plans we have for the future of Moulton Speedway, and we are committed to it.”
