09142013-2Jim Rouse, Ocala, FL- The Nesmith Weekly Crate Late Models, Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, TQ Late Models, and Rent-N-Roll Gladiators will all put their skills to the test this week-end and see who can grab a trophy.

Bryan Bernhardt currently leads our track Crate Late Model points with Jeff Mathews and 11-year old Tyler Clem barreling down on him. Those two sit within 30 points, while fourth placed Carter Stokes and fifth placed Billy Holmes are still alive in a tight championship fight. Bernhardt and Mathews have stolen the wins, but Clem is closing in on history.

Charlie O’Neill continues to lead the Scorpion Racing Products UMP DirtCar Modifieds, but three-time race winner on the season and four-time division champion Jeff Mathews is closing in. Scott Kurtzner and Bryan Bernhardt sit within 35 points and are both capable of a win, while Rich Pratt and 72-year old Buzzie Reutimann both have wins and also sit within one race of the championship lead.

Devin Walker now holds a 337 point lead in the championship over new second-place driver Sean Monoghan. Brian Shea has now fallen to third, just 50 points ahead of Thunder Stock hero Mike Stalnaker and fifth placed Hunter Gustafson. The most diverse division of 2013 continues to get better, and a new winner is just over the horizon.

William Gillam gained four points in a tight 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stock title fight and now has 19 markers over second-place Brandon Elwood. Melvin Fockler’s incredible run took a hit as he missed the event due to work and now sits over 100 back. Brandon Tillander and Tony Campbell round out the top five, but the story of the year will most likely end up being Mike Stalnaker’s win last week-end.

Sean Babcock hopes to remain the only TQ Late Model winner in Bubba Raceway Park history while John Hopke, Terry Wright, and plenty of others try to displace “Yankee Boy” from alone at the top of the record books.

Stephen Frankland continues to close in on his “Clinch number” and now holds a 321 point lead over Tom Sheehan. Bill Southard, Tyler Bryden, and Josh Fincher complete the top five in the Rent-N-Roll Gladiators.
