Kaleigh Helmick, the young lady who was the focus of the 2007 Charity Truckers 200, has passed away.  The president of Racing For A Cause Inc. Rick Bristol called us today with the sad news for the Helmick family.

Services will held on Friday, July 30th at 11:00 AM. The memorial service will be held at the Center Pointe Community Church located at 9580 Curry Ford Road in Orlando.  Cards may be sent to Bob and Misty Helmick, 3811  Lake Margaret Drive, Orlando Fl 32812.

The Charity Truckers 200 Family Fundraiser, held every year in December at Orlando Speedway, raised over $12,000 in 2007 to help the Helmicks with the medical expenses. Kaleigh was battling a rare heart disease. The disease is called Pulmonary Artesian with a Hypo Plastic Right Heart, which means the right side of her heart was underdeveloped and not functioning correctly.

Donations are encouraged and can be made to C.A.R.S. Racing For A Cause 812 Romano Avenue, Orlando Fl 32807
