 It was another great Florida evening for racing at the Clay By the Bay as around 100 cars signed in for five classes of racing.  A father and son combination visited victory lane as Jared and Tim Gay each won their feature events.

The Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel Street Stocks Jared Gay led flag to flag to take his first ever feature win at East Bay.  Gay started on the front row and endured two pressure filled restarts. 

Thomas Pratt finished 2nd.  Eric Moon ran strong all night and finished 3rd.   JR Welden started on the pole and drove to a 4th place finish.  Points leader Donnie Reed finished 5th.   Buck Woodhouse and James Hook were victorious in the heats.

In the Gagel’s Open Wheeled Modifieds Alex Boerner led the first 10 laps of the 15 lap feature event.  During the lap 10 caution Boerner’s car stopped running and his night was over.  That turned the lead over to Austin Sanders who drove to the victory going away.  Bobby Dixon finished 2nd.  Kevin Bryant had a strong run, started 8th and finished 3rd.  Matt Fetterhoff finished  4th.  The pole sitter Hayden Campbell earned his first top 5 of the season with a 5th place finish.          Bruce Harvey and Austin Sanders won the heat races.

The Outlaw 4’s Mathew Haynes picked up his 8th feature win on the year holding off Billy Howard.  Billy Howard finished 2nd.  Stephen Hohlbaugh finished 3rd.  Travis Staats started deep in the field and was able to finish 4th.  Chris Zimmerman rounded out the top-5.  Howard and Roberto Morfin, Jr. won the heats.

In the  Q Auto and Injury Limited Late Models   Tim Gay battled his way the win holding off Scotty Williams on the last turn of the last lap to take the win.  Scotty Williams lead most of the race and finished 2nd.  Daniel Woodey ran in the top-5 all night long and finished 3rd.   Bob Peterson and pole sitter Alex Boerner rounded out the top-5.  Boerner and Scotty Williams won the heats.

In the Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers Raymond Vann picked up his series leading 5th win of the season.  Vann appeared to hold off Jim Baker for the win but Baker’s 2nd place finish was DQ’d in post race technical inspection.  Thomas Burnside was awarded 2nd place.   Jimmy O’Dell finished 3rd after Kever Raulerson was DQ’d in post race technical inspection.  Troy Dittebrand and Gene Gross rounded out the top-5.  Roberto Morfin, Sr., George Handy and Baker won the heats.

 Patrick Fiore, Gary Killeen and Kayla Jones advanced into the A-Main Event as they finished in the top-3 in the B-Main Event.
