Ripley, West Virginia – I-77 Raceway Park is a 3/8-mile dirt oval track that has been putting race fans on the edge of their seats since the mid-1970s. Dirt track racing the way it should be on a red clay track in Ripley, West Virginia. During the start of the 2013 race season there were talks about having the steel-head late models program associate with the crate late models of FASTRAK at I-77 Raceway Park. However, there has been such a tremendous response the past few races it’s becoming successful as one division.
It’s also exciting that I-77 Raceway Park is the only track that will allow the FASTRAK competitors to run either in the Northeast or Southeast region of their choice also, something that’s never been done at any track before. The quest for the 2013 FASTRAK World Championship which consists of a Quarter Million Dollars purse begins with running the minimum of 15 races to qualify in to the “Biggest Single Weekend Grass Roots Payout in the Country”.
For 2013 the FASTRAK Racing Series and I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia aligned sanctioning Pro (crates) Late Models division on Saturday nights. “This is a track that’s we’ve really wanted to try to lock down for a while. We’re very pleased to be working with Promoter Joseph Rush at I-77 for the 2013 racing season and beyond.” exclaimed FASTRAK Director of Operations Brian Haynes. We’re very excited and looking forward to what’s in store for I-77 Raceway Park and FASTRAK Companies International united for 2013”.
Remember also to mark your calendars for the first ever visit by the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Series at I-77 Raceway Park. They will be in action for a Touring event on August 3rd for a $2,000 to win show. Also details are still in the works, but Promoter Rush is hoping to align a big National FASTRAK race to take place as part of the always popular Hillbilly 100 for Labor Day weekend 2013.

The next stop on the road through the 2013 FASTRAK “Decade of Speed Tour” will be a Double Header weekend in West Virginia as well coming up on Friday and Saturday May 10th and 11th. Friday night May 10th we battle it out again at Beckley Motorsports Park in Prosperity, West Virginia for a $2,000 to win FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division race. This is the first stop back in 2013 at Beckley after the successful 2012 FASTRAK $250,000 World Championships, which drew 186 entrants in the weekend spectacular. Then Saturday night May 11th we will return to the West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia for the first time since being a part of the 30th Annual Dirt Track World Championships in 2010. This will be a FASTRAK National Event paying $5,000 to the winner.
