Praytor is back!!!

When the Praytor Realty Motorsports Hauler rolls in to 5 Flags Speedway this Friday Night, it won’t be the only surprise in store for local race fans.

Thomas “Moose” Praytor, has certainly been making a name for himself on the Gulf Coast racing scene over the last couple of years. After a 2010 Pro Late Model season that was bittersweet at times, the former football star (hence, the nickname) has come out of the box smoking for 2011.

Though winless thus far, the #12 Max Force/ Ken Stabler Team has run up front in each event, and captured their first Pole in the Elantra 100 at 5 Flags on April 22nd. But this Friday Night , “Moose” moves back to the top of the pitbox.

When the back door of the hauler goes down, out will roll the #6 Chevrolet Super Stock used in the Hollywood movie, Final Destination 4. Tommy Praytor, the elder statesman on the Team, will once again climb behind the steering wheel he handled for many years.

“A lot of people thought I had retired, I think even more people hoped I had retired, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. I’ve had my time as the primary driver and I loved every minute of it. It’s the Moose’s time now and I’m enjoying every minute of his success.” The elder Praytor stated that Friday Nights Super Stock Showdown will be all about having a good time, but based on the evolution of the Max Force Team in recent years, don’t be surprised to see the #6 near, or at the front of the pack.

We only hope the car fares better on Friday Night than it did in the movie. But then, that was Hollywood.
