Punta Gorda Speedway saw Fourteen modifieds rolled out for qualifying on a beautiful full moon Saturday night and the # 46 of Doug Moff set fast time on a tight field with 12 cars within a half second.  After the redraw it put the #12 of Eric Rudd on the pole and Moff starting outside pole.  From the drop of the green flag Moff and Rudd had quite a battle running side by side for many laps.

There was some great racing just behind the leaders between Kyle Bookmiller, Jimmy Wilkins and Steve Arnold.  After a caution on lap 18 would send Arnold to the rear the battle continued up front between Moff and Rudd, Sean McLaughlin in the 99 machine making a charge on the outside mixing it up with Bookmiller and Wilkins.

A three car pile up in turn 4 brought out another caution on lap 30 between the #8 of Kent McLean, the #19 Scott McDaniel and Steve Arnold, McLean retired to the pits and McDaniel and Arnold would be able to continue.  The double file restart bunched the field up for a restart were Moff muscled his way on the outside to clear the Rudd machine into turn 1 and took the lead for good with Rudd a close second, Jimmy Wilkins a nice third place finish followed by a great come back by Arnold to finish fourth with a battered race car and Bookmiller finished fifth.

The sportsman also with a 50 lap feature had points leader #57 Timmy Lowe on the pole after qualifying redraw and the fast qualifier of the #35 Greg Krome on the outside pole.  The race would be close at the front all night between Krome, Lowe and the #56 of Brian Richardson.  Krome would take the win with Richardson a close second followed by Lowe and Danny Caylor making his season debut in a nice looking #7 machine finishing forth.  Timmy Lowe celebrated his second Championship in a row in the Sportsman Division, although results were unofficial at press time.

In earlier action Danny Daniels Jr won his second straight feature and appeared to lock up the championship for the Super Stock Division. The Road Warriors took the green in a hotly contested race with eventual winner the #80 Monte Carlo Richard Nelson charged to lead on the outside for his first feature win of the season followed by the #1 of Rick Reed second and the #33 of Chris Loney third.  The Pro 4 division had the #16 of Wally Smith winning with hard charging Ryan Collver and Dan Collver a close second and third in a tightly contested race to the end.   The night finished off with the Fab 4 feature with the #63 of Crystal Love taking the win, Paul Richards Jr second and Zack Smith third.

Punta Gorda Speedway will be closed this Saturday night Nov 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday but will reopen for the final race night of the season featuring the Super Late Model 100 on Dec 4 also the Pro Trucks will run a 50 lapper, Legends Cars will go 75 laps for a $1000.00 to win and the final points night for the Road Warriors, Mini Stocks, Rookie Trucks, Pro 4, Fab 4 and Bandolero.  There will be a lot going on including a pair of Bicycles given away to the kids and a lot more fun and excitement, don’t miss the final night of racing for the 2010 season
