Open Wheel Modified’s
In the 40 lap feature ,13 cars were in the field, with current points leader Bobby Ervien taking the pole position after the four row inversion,early on it was some great side by side racing with with lap times in the upper fourteen second bracket, Ervien continued to lead with Robbie Cooper running second and Jeremy Gerstner running third, until lap number nineteen when contact was made between leader Ervien and Cooper ,ending Ervins night and Cooper suffering a flat tire, that would make Gerstner the new leader , where he would go on for his first win of the season.Second it was Kyle Bookmiller,third it was Richie Smith.
Sportsman
Fifthteen Sportsman cars took the track for the twenty five lap feature event. Mullberry Florida driver Brandon Morris who started fourth and by lap two, he would take the lead,at one point in the race Brandon had over a two second lead over second place running Aaron Williamson,Aaron stayed hard on the throttle and worked through traffic continuing to close the gap on the leader,by the final lap,as Morris and Williamson battled for the win coming off of turn number four, with Williamson right on the bumper of your leader, Aaron would come up alittle short and would finish second,Morris scored his first win of the season,third it was Cody Stickler. Heat winners Lance Daubach and Brandon Morris.
Taylor Made Homes Pure Stock’s
Twenty cars took the green flag for the pure stock featue ,With the four row inversion,that would put Drew Matissek on the pole,Matissek would lead the first three laps,and thats when Ardin Franklin would make the move around Matissek for first place,meantime ,Steve Stinedurf would close the gap on Franklin and then catches and makes the pass on Franklin in lap nine ,Stinedurf would become the third different leader of the race,Steve would then be chased down by Mathew Harris, by lap twelve Harris would get into second place and thats how it would go all the way into the final lap and the final turn where both Stinedurf and Harris would get together and spin out and ended up, being scored eleventh and twelth, giving the victory to points leader David Walls,second went to Arden Franklin and third went to Tyler Stickler . Heat winners Mathew Harris and Tom McKay.
Sheldon Palmes Insurance Mini Stock’s
After the roll of the dice it was a four row inversion putting Kenneth Watkins on the pole,and the action got hot and heavy with some three wide racing for the first two laps,and it stayed very exciting ,until lap number two when the caution came out ,with Jeremy Sharrone and Kevin Knox making contact,ending their night,on the restart it would be Sonya Heater on the top position,which only lasted a couple of laps,thats when Jeff Eberly coming from his seventh starting position went around Heater in lap five and would go on to score his first win of the season.Second went to Richard Kuhn and third went to Ashlee Williamson. Heat winners were Richard Kuhn and Jeff Eberly.
Pro Figure Eight’s
In the twenty lap feature ,it was Joey Caterilli going wire to wire,who started on the pole and scored his
first win of the season ,driving the number six car owned, by the late figure eight legend Robert Aaron ,
Wayne Calkins started second and stayed their the entire race.Third it was Cliff Rousseau.
Florida Mod Lite Racing Series
It was the father and show between Jacksonville Florida drivers Matt Lundeen winning the feature, with Matt’s father Rick coming home second.
Matt Lundeen took over the lead in lap number six coming from his eighth starting position and went on to lead the remaining fourteen laps for the win. Ocoee driver Chris McClelland coming home third. Heat winners Sonny O’Sullivan and Rick Lundeen.
