PLEASE HELP!!! We need your help to crown some Champions, and it all starts Friday Night with the Buddy’s Home Furnishing Blizzard Series. The 5th and final Blizzard Series Super Late Model 100 is on tap this Friday, with what is expected to be the largest field of cars we have seen this year.So far, the list represents 12 states and Canada. Georgia driver, Bubba Pollard, by utilizing model consistency, is poised to be crowned as this years Blizzard Series Champ. But there are many story lines that have developed during this 2012 racing season. The fight to finish the season in the top ten in the points standings ranks high on any driver’s list. This insures at least a chance at a provisional starting spot in the 45th Annual Snowball Derby.
The Super Stock Division Title will also be decided this week, with Bubba Winslow coming in with a narrow 21 point lead over Randy Thompson. And in preparation for the September 29th “Whataburger Night of Champions” event, the West Florida Coatings Sportsman and Butler U Pull- It Bombers will be awarded double points this Friday, assuring everyone of a little extra drama on Championship Night. All said, this Friday is sure to offer up some of the best short track action you can find anywhere.
Additionally, this Friday will also yield our annual visit from the Krewe du YaYas. These pink haired beauties will be serving up lots of extra fun, and offering chances on some great prizes, all in support of breast cancer research.
Its hard to believe that the 2012 racing season is nearing an end. But the best has yet to come. This Friday’s Buddy’s Home Furnishings Blizzard Series Championship leads the way. The “Whataburger Night of Champions” is up next on a new day with a new time! (Saturday, Sept. 29th, 7pm) Then its on to the 45th Annual Snowball Derby, November 28th thru December 2nd. “America’s Favorite Home Track is Celebrating 5 Decades of Speed”!!
