Auburndale Speedway, located in central Florida, has decided to take their late model racing to the next level. General manager, Rex Guy, has announced that Auburndale Speedway has teamed up with well renowned tech inspector Ricky Brooks. Ricky has been a tech inspector since 2005, and was also involved in racing as a late model driver in recent years. Ricky is widely known for his abilities as the famous Snowball Derby tech man and in the past 5 years has also been the Florida Speedweeks tech inspector at New Smyrna speedway. Ricky’s abilities as a tech man have been challenged by some of the best late model teams in the nation, which over the years has helped him in keeping the most level playing field for all competitors. Ricky’s duties will not only include being the late model tech man, he will also be the race director for the remaining late model races at Auburndale Speedway for the remainder of 2014. The management of the speedway are excited to welcome Ricky Brooks to their facility to further help Florida short track racing in its ability to promote some of the biggest and best late model races in the near future. Auburndale’s first late model event with their new tech/race director will be on June 21st. Ricky would like to invite each and every late model team to come challenge for the top spot in his inaugural event. Please help us all welcome what most racers would agree as the most respected tech man in the state to Auburndale Speedway.
