Joey Coulter Truck Series LogoThis Saturday night the Joey Coulter Fellows Truck Brokers Florida Pro-Truck Series opens its season at DeSoto Speedway.  The series begins the season and a good field of Pro-trucks are expected including Tommy Caveny, Gerald Campbell, Dylan Martin, Sam Scott, Nick Malverty, Randy Leonard, Donnie Burkhalter, Chad Chastain, Phillip Ellis, Becca Monopoli, Brent Huber, Brain Harbin, Pat Mahoney, Steve Darvalics and more are expected to take on the 3/8th’s mile speedway for 50 laps of tough truck racing.
 
The series begins a 15 race schedule and will compete at Desoto, Citrus County,  Auburndale, Three Palms and North Florida Speedways during the season and marks the first truck series events on dirt. The season finale will be at Citrus County Speedway in November and will be a 75 lap event.
 
The 50 Lap events will pay $800 to win as the normal purse, but this event we have some bonus money added as the winner will receive $1000 for this event as Tempest Cycles has added $200 bonus to winner, $100 to second now paying $650 and $50 to third now paying $500 as well as $50 Fast Qualifier award ! The bonus money goes to drivers who are members of the series. If non members win or finish in top 3 spots, the bonus money will fall to the first top three drivers who are series members. Fast Qualifier Money will go to fastest series member in qualifying. Series members will pay $50 race entry fee, Non-members pay $75. 
 
For this weekend the schedule will be as follows :
Pits will open at 1:30 p.m.
Tech & Tires open at 1:30 p.m.
Truck Practice Only 2-3 p.m.
Rotating Practice 3-5 p.m.
Truck Tire Scuff 5 p.m.
Drivers Meeting 5:30 p.m.
Qualifying 6 p.m. 
Racing Begins at 7 p.m. 
 
Registration to join series will be done as drivers pass through tech. Registration to run for points and bonus money is $125 and you will pay race entry entry fee as well. You must pay both of these fees as you come through as it determines the fee amounts. Series Registration payment is to C.A.R.S. the race entry fee is paid to Desoto Speedway. 
 
The series has a $7000 points fund as we begin this first race thanks to Fellows Truck Brokers and C.A.R.S. Racing for a Cause Inc., more awards, points fund money,bonus money and contingencies is being worked on to add to races and points fund at seasons end.
