Schedule Announced for 2012 All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

Charlotte, NC 8/7/12– Officials from the Pro All Stars Series and Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee are proud to announce the event schedule for the 2012 All American 400 weekend October 4th-6th. The historic 400 lap event around the 5/8th mile track will pay $22,000 to the winner with each lap paying $20 to the leader making it possible for a driver to win a total of $30,000. The three day event is breathing new life into the historic event that has been on the shelves for the last several years due to the uncertainty of the race track. Now with the racetrack secure for the immediate future officials from all parties involved are excited about race teams across the country making plans to race the All American 400 once again in 2012.

“We are excited to announce this schedule for the All American 400 on whats shaping up to be one of the biggest short track races in the country in 2012. I’ve spoke with teams from around the country that plan on making the trip to Nashville for the All American 400, and they seem to be just as excited as we are to be bringing this race back to the short track spotlight,” said Tom Mayberry, president of the Pro All Stars Series. “We didn’t want to draw this event out for a week like some big events do because that cost everyone extra money and time. It’s a three day show with some good support racing, but there’s also time to get away from the track before the big race and enjoy what the city of Nashville has to offer for all the families in attendance as well.” (more…)

Joyce Rebuilding for Tri-County

Following a multi-car tangle at Concord Speedway last weekend, Cory Joyce and his team will spend most of the week leading up to this weekend’s events at Tri-County Motor Speedway repairing heavy damage to their No. 20 Ultimate Turf Chevy. Though the severe body damage will force long hours at the Cory Joyce Racing shop, the 20-year-old driver is optimistic to get back to the track and pick up where he left off before the incident at Concord. Joyce maintained a solid running position well inside the top-10 on Saturday prior to the contact from another competitor that sent him spinning into the pack of traffic around him.

“We really had a good run going and I was able to move my line around to make the car better as the night went on,” Joyce explained. “Even though it’s going to be a lot of work, I’m sure once we get the body back on our Ultimate Turf Chevy, we’ll be able to get back up in that lead pack again this weekend.”   (more…)

Lanigan Continues Record-Setting Season With Hard-Fought Victory In Dirt Late Model Magazine 50 At Independence Motor Speedway

Sizzling Star Sets World of Outlaws Late Model Series Consecutive-Win Record, Ties Richards For Most Triumphs Since ‘04

INDEPENDENCE, IA – Aug. 6, 2012 – Darrell Lanigan’s assault on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series rolled on Monday night at Independence Motor Speedway.

Continuing the most amazing season in the history of the national tour, the 42-year-old star from Union, Ky., set or matched three different series records with a hard-fought victory over Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga., in the three-eighths-mile oval’s Dirt Late Model Magazine 50.

Lanigan drew the pole position in the pre-race redraw and led all but one circuit of the A-Main, but his drive to the checkered flag behind the wheel of his Cornett-powered Rocket was anything but easy. He had to survive a relentless late-race challenge from Smith, who nosed ahead to lead lap 42 but lost ground and fell behind for the remainder of the distance when the leaders rubbed together in turn two moments after Lanigan was scored the leader of lap 43. Keep On Keeping On

By- Jim Rouse, BRP Media

8-6-12 (Ocala, FL) – The Scorpion Racing Products Modifieds, Buddy’s Home Furnishings Limited Late Models, Hobby Stocks, 1-800-ASK GARY Thunder Stocks, and Rent-N-Roll Gladiators take to the clay for an all-out battle!

Kyle “The Killer” Bronson has dominated 2012 as he attempts to be the first champion of this division not named Jeff “4-Time” Mathews (who is actually up to 4th). Bronson is holding off more than “4-Time” as Rich Pratt is in 2nd! Pratt, part of a group worthy of the ‘Hard Luck’ Award, hasn’t won in nearly a year and it’s nearing Pratt-Time. In 3rd is Dalton Lanich who comes off a big win elsewhere a few weeks ago. Mathews just overtook Jim Passino who still holds 5th. He won’t be there long as he is on a sabbatical now meaning Tyler Clem will take 5th by merely starting the feature event. (more…)
