By Carol Andrews – Saturday Night at Auburndale Speedway the officials kept watching the clouds as rain was off in the distance, but because they kept the races going we were able to complete the show for the fans and drivers. The winners in each division are as follows:
HUNTSVILLE, AL –Randy Weaver wanted a third win at Talladega this year and he did it Saturday night as he beat Brandon Kinzer, Riley Hickman and the rain to capture his third win in a row at TST and pad his points lead for the 2012 season a third win at Talladega. The win was worth another $3,500 to Weaver.
SYRACUSE, NY – Oct. 7, 2012 – By Kevin Kovac/DIRTcar Racing P.R. – Brett Hearn’s long run of big-block Modified misery during NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week is over.
ROME, GA (October 7, 2012) – John Blankenship of Williamson, WV continued the best season of his racing career on Sunday Night as he captured the Rome Rumble at Rome International Speedway. Blankenship, who started seventh, roared to the lead on lap 21 and never looked back in winning his third Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event of the season.
GREENVILLE, MS – Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL turned his 2012 season around on Saturday by winning the 6th Annual Gumbo Nationals for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series at Greenville Speedway. Shaw led all 60 laps of the race to collect the $5,000 top prize driving the Summit Resource Development Trak-Star.
