With the cancellation of some races it sets up for the Super Late Model Race at 4-17 Southern Speedway on 9/25/2021 to be a preview for the Bill Bigely Memorial 128

With the tire shortage and the cancellation of a few big Super Late Model Races around the state it sets the Stage for the 100 lap Super Late Model races on 9/25/2021 to be a preview or test race for the Bill Bigley Memorial Sr. 128 in November.    A lot of teams wiill now use this to get their cars set up for the the $20,ooo to win big race in November.

Tire Shortage causes the Full Throttle 100 at Citrus County Speedway to be pushed back until November 6th

ATTENTION!!!

Due to ongoing tire shortages throughout the USA we have been forced to push back the $10,000 to WIN Full Throttle 100 to November 6th. We are hoping to be in a better position on tires by then! We hate making this decision but it is one that is out of our control! We will still be racing Sept 18th and have added the Outlaw Street Stocks (Non Points) and the School Bus Figure 8’s to the show! We hope everyone understands that this is out of our control and we hope everyone will support our show later in the year!

Florida Late model Challenge Series will be part of the Larry Duty Memorial Race at Putnam County Raceway with $10,000 to win

The Florida Late Model Challenge Series is proud to be a part of the Larry Duty Memorial Race weekend with the highest payout in Series history. Points matter but this one is for a huge $10,000 to win at Putnam Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday September 24th and 25th.

George Gorham Jr. holds off Chase Lovelady for win in first twin 50 race before mother nature takes the win for the second feature at Auburndale Speedway.

Saturday night at Aburndale Speedway they were back in action with twin 50’s for the super Late Models which saw a big car count and full pits for other classes.   In qualifying Chase Lovelady in #8 FLF car would set fast time and draw a 3 for the invert.   When the dust settled and the 50 laps were complete George Gorham Jr. would take the win with Chase Lovelady in second and Becca Monopoli would come home third.    Before they could complete the second 50 lap race mother nature would take the win and end the night.

The BG Products Southern Sprint Car Series headlines the night this weekend as 4-17 Southern Speedway returns from Summer Break

The Action returns this Saturday 9/11 as we honor the fallen hero’s on the 20th Anniversary of September 11, 2001 after our summer break a full night of racing will take center stage with the Winged Sprint Cars, Street Stock, Thunder Truck, Modified Mini, Outlaw Modified, Mini Stock

Pits – $35

Grandstands:

Adult $20

Seniors 65+, Military, 1st responder all w/ valid ID only $18

Students 6-17 w/ valid ID only $13

Children 5 & under are free

Pit gates open 12pm

Grandstand Gates open 4pm

Qualifying begins 6pm

Features being at 7pm

No outside food or beverages are allowed inside the gates

No Pets are allowed on the property

No firearms, fireworks, or any type of weapons are allowed on the property – violators will be reported to local authorities and FAA

As the BG Products Southern Sprint Car Series returns to action from our much needed summer break,

We will be honoring two looses to our nation on September 11, 2001 the 20th anniversary of that tragic day 20 years ago with the attack on the World Trade Center, All the drivers in the A-Main will carry an American Flag as a tribute to the fallen men and women of 9/11.

Then we will also honor the late Michael Thrap (J1 Sprint Car) with his unexpected passing last weekend. The Family will have Mike’s car at the track on Saturday night and will do the parade lap before the 40 lap main event. The series will also do the missing man formation on the 3 wide salute to the fans and the honor of Mike Tharp.

Mike always closed out our drivers meeting with a closing prayer and wishing everyone good luck, Mike you will truly be missed by many of your friends and family of the motorsports industry.

The Memorial Service for Mike Tharp will be on Sept 25 at 11 am at the Suncoast Baptist Church 2033 Laurel Ln, North Fort Myers, FL 33917

Becca Monopoli Wins Florida Pro truck Challenge Series Race as Auburndale Speedway makes the return from Summer Break

It seemed to be like the longest Summer Break ever, and you could tell racers and fans alike were ready to get back to weekly racing action.   Auburndale Speedway had packed pit’s and Grand Stands as everyone was ready to get back to racing.  It was a stout field of pro trucks for the Florida Pro Truck Challenge Series race with 20 trucks in the pits.  It was a great race with side by side action through the field.   When the dust settled Becca Monopoli would take the win in the 50 lap feature.
