Danny Martin Jr. is going pavement racing. Pavement late model racing, that is. But he’s not giving up dirt sprint car racing quite yet. In fact, he was at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala last Friday and was a front runner once again, eventually finishing in second place in the sprint car feature race. His two late model races, both at Desoto Speedway, were part of a program involving the Top Gun Sprint series title sponsor, Eagle Jet International and Rick Gabor. It was announced at the Eagle Jet Top Gun awards banquet in January that Danny Martin Jr., as the 2014 Top Gun Champion, would be invited to the Phase1 Motorsports race shop in New Smyrna Beach. He would go there to prepare for a test and practice session with their car, a 2014 Ford Super Late Model. After completing the practice day, then he would get the chanceto race the car at a later date for a one race deal. (more…)

GIBSONTON — At East Bay Raceway on Thursday night it was Dorsey Strickland winning in the Micro Sprints, Gene Lasker in the East Bay Sprints, Kyle Bronson won the first Late Model Feature and Mark Whitener winning the second one and George Handy won the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers.
In the 15-lap Micro Sprints it was Dorsey Strickland winning with Matt Wedgewood and Paul Seburn rounding out the top three. Hunter Strickland and Wedgewood won their heat races. (more…)

What an awesome exciting night of racing at Putnam County Speedway it was last night….outlaws were caught and many special racing memories were made.
It was Trent Wilson first visit to the track with his Hobby Stock and done fairly well won his heat race and lead most of the feature trying to hold off the master of the track this season DJ Nobles but just couldn’t hold him off at 4 or 5 laps to go so the win went to DJ Nobles in the #15 Hobby Stock followed by #64 Trent Wilson & current track points leader of the division #72 Jake Hartley rounding out the top three. For most of the 2015 season, Pro Truck races at Desoto Speedway have been a
battle between Chad Chastain and Danny Anderson.
Saturday night’s 50-lap Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Pro Truck feature was no
different, with Chastain getting the best of Anderson on a late restart and
