Moff makes it three in a row in the Open Wheel Modifieds

Punta Gorda Speedway is the place to be on Saturday night if you looking for some of the best racing action in the state of Florida. Since Speedway owner Kevin Williams continues to have the lowest front gate prices, the stands are always full and fans get treated to some of the best side by side racing action every week.

Features started off with the T.Q. Midgets for 25 laps that saw the 30 of Mike Belusar from Punta Gorda, run start to finish as the leader. Chris Grimmler out of Palm Beach Gardens was in hot pursuit of Belusar for the second half of the race but could not make a pass and would settle for second while Jack Duffy came in third. (more…)

Rules Rule the Show at Volusia Speedway

BARBERVILLE, FL- A hot afternoon dissolved into a chilly evening as another strong crowd of racers and fans gathered for a Saturday night of exciting action at Volusia Speedway Park, including two divisions of winged sprint cars and five of Volusia’s other regular racing divisions. And as the night unfolded, and even after all of the fans had gone home and were in bed, it turned out that the rule book may have more to do with the results on the track than some of the actual racing did. The net result was at least one very awkward interview in the Destination Daytona Victory Lane, plus a lot of declarations that ended up scattered on the tech barn floor as the results of one race were overturned. Four Straight For Bedenbaugh At North Florida Speedway

Double points in all five divisions provided the extra incentive for the competitors in Saturday night action at NFS. After taking a week off for the holiday weekend drivers returned to action looking to bolster their chances in the championship chases in each division. Late Model action saw Adam Bedenbaugh survive a late race skirmish and a trip through post race technical inspection to earn his fourth consecutive victory. Other winners on the night were Kevin Durden in Street Stock, Nevin Gainey in Pure Stock, Donnie Hall in Limited Modified and John Windham in Box Stock. Also two lucky kids went home with new bikes courtesy of Burkins Chevrolet of Maclenny. (more…)
